Atmos mix? When was that released?
Well there is one. Or rather more accurately two. There was one done as a demo for Atmos for audio shows, which was uploaded to Apple Music at the launch of the service, then removed and re-done with near-field Atmos in mind vs the demo far-field.

However, streaming only.

If you don't mind, can someone quickly explain to me the difference between near-field and far-field Atmos?

Don't know about Atmos mixes, but in my world, near field monitors are designed to be placed at arm's length from the listening position

From Google AI:

Near field monitors are studio speakers that are designed to be placed close to the listener, usually within a few feet away. They are ideal for audio recording and mixing because they produce accurate sound and allow the listener to hear more of the direct sound from the speakers.

Here are some characteristics of near field monitors:
  • Smaller drivers
  • Near field monitors typically have smaller drivers, usually between 5 and 8 inches.
  • Flat frequency response
  • Near field monitors are designed to have a flat frequency response, meaning they reproduce audio without exaggerating certain frequencies.
  • More direct sound
  • Near field monitors are placed close to the listener, so more of the sound is direct and less is reflected from the room.
  • More detailed sound
  • Near field monitors can reveal subtle nuances in sound, which is important for detecting flaws in recordings.
  • Compact size
  • Near field monitors are usually compact in size, smaller than main monitors.

For those of you like me who are cursed and compulsed to purchase each and every one of these SDE Surround Series titles so as to have a complete set on the shelf, I'm sure there are titles you have not even been tempted to break the shrink-wrap on, let alone listen to. I'm curious as to what other collectors don't listen to, so what are the titles that fit this criteria for you? Note: I am not referring to recent titles that I haven't had time to listen to yet.

My unopened titles are:
#5 Brian Eno (note: intentionally not shrink-wrapped - haven't opened the case)
#6 Orbital
#6.5 George Harrison Tribute
#21 Keene
#22 Luther Vandross
#25 Tori Amos
