Definitely NOT a Japanese Import, JP. Clearly states Analogue Production/Prestige Jazz Label. Maybe they lost interest! It happens, you know.

it's been a year

it has literally been years. A year or two ago, it came out on vinyl, as well as singles with alternates. Tired of waiting, I recently purchased a UK 2 CD version w/6 alternate takes plus 2 other albums. Recommended.

I don’t even see that James Gang SACD on the Acoustic Sounds website, pretty sure it was there before, hope they didn’t cancel it.
And wonder what the hold up is with Steppenwolf, wasn’t that already released then pulled back because of a glitch.

Me, I’m waiting for the Blue Train SACD they are supposedly repressing

I spoke with Acoustic Sounds. They still have no ETA on this, although they announced it a year or so ago.

They are still maintaining that SACD Are You Experienced will ship at the end of January.

Wiki claims 1963 recording date at Van Gelder Studios. Clearly a date when most things were recorded in stereo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul_Blues_(album)

Discogs claims a release date of 1965 & mono.

Yes, definitely MULTICHANNEL Pupster and a stunning performance at that. Whoever's in charge of the SACD reissue program at Analogue Productions needs to be tarred and feathered. Hardly as logical as
