not much hard data, it's mostly speculatory fun & games at this point until there's a further announcement

so far we know there will be;

- 4 individual album releases
- on Blu-ray disc
- in Quad and Stereo
- available directly from Rhino
- for $24.98 apiece.

That is correct. According to Foraging Rhino none of the new titles have ever appeared on optical disc.

Perhaps in a future batch but I believe they're trying not to duplicate any previous digital releases to make these discs more amenable to collectors.

It would be great to finally hear PARANOID in 192/24 resolution from the original QUAD analogue master tapes.

Brad Miller started releasing DTS-CD's way back. I have I think about 6 of them. (Mystic Moods)

I got some of the early releases from him in 4.0 in paper sleeves at CES way back. They were later put out as 5.1

Didn't he also give the hint that one of them is known to have a different quad mix than the stereo counterpart? Or is that something that this string kinda speculated on?

Yeah, different song length(s), that's confirmed

Certainly goes back a ways. 1975 I believe, HDS under Sony? Discs made in 'murica back then.

I purchased the Chicago and Doobie Brothers Quadio box sets. I love the quad mixes, the great quality and care taken with these Quadio sets. The pricing of the upcoming Quadio single releases is fantastic. That said, none of the artists being discussed for the upcoming Quad releases excite me much IMO. I would really like Randy Newman - Good Old Boys but beyond that title i don‘t see much left for me to purchase. Are the Paul Simon Quad mixes owned by Rhino? The Paul Simon Quad mixes I would buy. JMHO
