Absolutely frightening statistic. Yet somehow I'm ok with it, and have enjoyed the ride all the way here.Fun fact about Red Octopus:
As per Allmusic.com, Red Octopus was released on 6/23/1975 -
48 years later to the day, we are getting it in Quadio

Not in your library like this, or in this quality.geeked about all 4 . Ill order all 4. But - Alice and Sabbath are already in my Surround library. Was wishing for 4 uniquies . But beggars cant be choosers, right ?

Yes they do, and have. These are well recorded and mixed albums. The master tapes here will be what shines provided they have originals to work from. The source tapes are pure “audiophile” grade imo.you are correct QuickSrt. Rhino does quality with a capital Q
Gold foil embossed Red Octopus, and some goodie inserts for B$B is going to be a bridge too far here, but yeah at least try and get the logos right.Hope they have the proper quad covers. Chicago didn't, my only fault with that box.
Sabbath Paranoid , and Starship Red Octopus are easy guesses from those colour fonts.
The green/yellow looks similar to ZZ TOP TRES HOMBRES.
And the blue ? J Geils Nightmares.
So....that's my guess.
aww.. don't be sad!
with a pristine source any mastering moves that aren't to the individual's taste can be fiddled about with, wicked Uncle Ernie style! up with the treble, down with the bass -- fiddle about!! fiddle about!!

If they find the tapes, AND it gets cleared for take-off then we will for sure hear about it. This one is screaming out for a Quadio format release. Like others in the series, it's a prime period album, is loaded with radio hits, and recognized as an early fan favorite, and even with sometimes odd choices of instrument placement, it rocks like hell and has good fidelity. A very solid representation of this recording. So it would be my #1 choice as a future Quadio release.
They are literally bestowing upon us a…May I sum it up? All good things come in fours
