I can remember like it was yesterday. I was working for a label, and I set up their web order store and fulfilment, myself and a couple others were working it. When we got our folded flyer type catalog printed (with new releases) sent out to 20,000 people who had ordered from us before - the phone rang off the hook with more orders which was fantastic. But there came to be a point where I was answering the phone just to answer questions of when the items should arrive? And could their new order just placed on internet be bumped up and go out same day rather than the following day? I was answering so many requests for special treatment that I was not getting the postage labels printed on the packages that were all ready to go out later that day. So the calls were slowing our work down by about 1.5 days. And I could not just stop answering the phone because there were also some new orders coming in, and of course we we wanted that business as well. It got so bad that I told someone to "let me do my job and get these orders out on time", and I slammed the phone down and hung up on this person.
