Come to think of it, in the past quarter, between the 6 QUAD SACD Epoch Classical releases and the 6 December D~V QUAD/STEREO SACD rock/jazz releases, Michael Dutton & esteemed company have released the equivalent of 29 individual LP releases...not to mention other EPOCH Classical mch SACD releases, as well.

Epic, IMO!!!!!!!!

Michael J. Dutton ..... A Wizard .... a TRUE STAR

So can we now say that DV is the surround sound G.O.A.T.?

I'm most excited about the Guess Who. DV are listening to us. The first four Guess Who's are by far their best work. I would also like to see the last GW album "Power In The Music" get released, at some point. Argent was a bit of a surprise, I love the Quad of "In Deep, The Q8 was noticeably better surround wise than the SQ. BS&T probably their weakest albums but will buy it as well.

Argent was most famous for the hit "Hold Your Head Up" (not on any of these). Rod Argent was lead singer with the Zombies "Time of the Season". The hit form "In Deep" was "God Gave Rock And Roll To You". I'm sure you can find all those on YouTube.

Ill be ordering the BS&T and the Guess Who. Can anyone describe the Argent titles? I'm not familiar with those.

Oooh.... There's more stuff coming soon by the looks of things from the DV email?! 🤩

.....Remember to stay tuned because another tranche of goodies is due to be released imminently … it includes several classic soul albums of the ’70s, the quadraphonic mixes of which are making their first ever appearance in the SACD format. And as if that were not enough, further titles in the Dutton Epoch series (both new recordings and archive reissues) are scheduled for early next year, all of them in the Hybrid SACD stereo/multi-channel format.

Indeed: tranche of goodies (including classic soul albums) imminently vs. Dutton Epochs early next year...does this mean @haikubass will need to make one more set of additions to the 2019 releases list, just for auld lang syne?

in a Dr.Strange-way i kinda hope not!! my wee brainbox can't cope as it is!!! we've had the equivalent of 398 Quads from the Dynamic Dutton this Christmass ass it isssss... now be a dearheart and pass that ginger wine, there's a sweetiepoppet!! hic 🍸 😘

Snood went in for 5 at first but then went to You Tube and listened to the Sebesky with all those jazz greats playing - wow Snood liked:LB

So Dutton got Snood for all 6

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn you Dutton!! There goes the Lime & Aqua Frilly Boa Snood has his eyes on to run to & fro between my legs on New Years Eve!!:SG :dance:SG

Oh well there's always next year, but those colors will probably be out by then:giggle:

even before i play a note on one of these new discs, the value for money they represent is just unbelievable.

take the Argent release for example; the SQ LP (VG+) and Q8 (looks good sounds crap) together with international shipping for the two cost me nearly £70 in total.

...and "how much is the SACD again?" i hear you cry! why Sir or Madam, that's just £19.99.. for 3 freakin' albums!!

ok, "only" one's in Quad but still.. isn't it something!? 🤯

its beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄🎅🏼🎉

Got the email from DV this morning and immediately ordered two (Guess Who -- some of their best! -- to go with previous ones, and Argent for the rock n' roller in me).

Holding off on the BST, although I should get it to match the two previous surrounds. Had Elgar Spanish Lady in cart, but will wait, as . . . .

I'm going to retire next year! Woohoo! But need to start some spending restraint, sigh. . . . Have already started a change jar for next year's LET IT BE (yes, I'm an optimist).

Also need that KC box set due out early next year. Sigh. At least I'll have regular paychecks coming in for a while yet :).

<still blocked from QuadraphonicQuad at home >
