I've just spent a huge amount of money, Pyramid (I wanted that signed card), both the Fish sets, one of them signed, and, while I was in tmstor.es the new Deep Purple album on picture disc. I'm reeling, but as the APP song says "You Can't Take It With You"
Good for you, that was a heavy haul.

My favorite APP album along with EVE.

Now I need to figure out if I need one of the boxsets for those prices. To me, this has got to be the worst APP release thus far. Too many choices and too much repetitive vinyl. I’d be happy with a BD + the four CD’s boxset even though I may listen to all those extra demo tracks once, but that’s not offered here. My choice would be a BD + single CD or BD + double 45rpm vinyl. Oh, well!

I’ll hold out for a single BDA that just might come to be .. with all these great releases so far this year I need save some money for future releases .. love the album though .
I'm with you on this, I'm good to wait and see about a stand alone BD later; and if none comes, maybe one of those later Amazon hot spot sales and use points and whatever other saving's trick I can come up with.

We can all keep our fingers crossed that a stand alone Blu-ray with the Atmos will arrive a few months later... probably after the 2024 holidays. I then I will be looking for iRobot!
I believe it will.
Alan is a big supporter of surround sound and his fans.
Bet ya'll a $1 it will come before the end of the year.
Besides no way in hell I'll pay big bucks for vinyl I have no interest in owning or even
supporting it's pressing.
YMMV ;)

I'm so curious to hear how Alan has approached mixing in Atmos. Will he be a 'discrete elements in the heights' type of guy, or will they be used in a more subtle way?
You know better than anyone, we are definitely in the Wild West now when it comes to mixing Atmos, many mixers just learning.

Doesn't he typically eschew the center channel?

My guess is against the discrete height approach. But I'll bet he will emphasize strings up there.
