I just watched a concert I had previously recorded on AXS TV...LOVE FOR LEVON...A BENEFIT TO SAVE THE BARN...it was a pretty good concert...a little too country for my tastes...but not extreme...the good news was that Roger Waters DIDN'T lip sync this one...the bad news...Roger Waters didn't lip sync this one...now this was from 2012 and he was pretty bad...voice was weak and mostly "talking" instead of singing....he had plenty of vocal support and he still sounded bad..

I just finished watching the Rolling Stones Crossfire Hurricane....I'm not a big fan of these documentary type movies....I just like the music....and I don't have the patience to sit and watch them...but today when I was making breakfast I started watching....I recorded it from the AXS channel....so between cooking and eating and doing some things on the computer...I finished it....I must say it held my interest....the thing I liked were the "raw" videos"...not scripted...the behind the scenes stuff recorded by band members a lot of the time....and the period news pieces really put things into perspective....it makes you laugh now but it's hard to believe some of these things actually happened...if you have the AXS channel it would be worth your time to watch it the next time it is on...

I've got a Rolling Stones film by Scorcese that I've never watched... is it that one?

Today when I was on Ebay I happen to notice this listing and it triggered a memory of mine...in 1982 I purchased a vinyl issue of the Dark Side Of The Moon...it was being touted as "super vinyl" by JVC and pressed in Japan...at that time a vinyl title usually cost $6 or 7$...this edition cost $50....now in 1982 there were no super deluxe edition box sets...so that was pretty high for vinyl….so I played it one time on my turntable and never played it again...I was waiting because I planned on getting a Thorens model turntable....but I never did... and then CDs pushed vinyl out of the picture...so I just kept it...and took it with me to the various cities I lived in the Midwest and then here in Florida....I never put it in plastic to protect it and it suffered severe warping and it was exposed to some extreme heat and humidity...now it's just a memory I have...an unfulfilled adventure.... it's a limited edition ..number 165 out of 5000...and it has a brochure explaining what super vinyl is and a certificate...I wish I would have taken care of it...but I moved quite a few times and it might have been damaged anyway..

For a REAL eye opener, just look how many times Dark Side has been released [and re~released] to death over the intervening years in EVERY conceivable format:

My head is still spinning:SB

What's NEXT: Dark Side of the Moon Dolby Atmos and/or 3D Auro edition on UHD 4K...just when you [mistakenly] thought your SACD and/or Immersion Alan Parsons BD~A 4.0 WAS DEFINITIVE?

I wouldn't be a BIT Surprised!
