John Entwistle's solo catalog has finally hit the streaming services. I was hoping for some surround mixes, but unfortunately it didn't happen. He made some really great records outside of The 'oo that sadly not many people heard. These three are my faves. A pre-Comes Alive Peter Frampton plays guitar on Whistle Rhymes and Joe Walsh plays guitar on Too Late the Hero.

Crowded House is hitting the road in the summer. The graphic below is on their social media pages. When I saw the band a few months back, Neil Finn said that their next album was completed. I'm guessing Gravity Stairs will be the album title. Perhaps an early 2024 release? The two shows I saw this year were fantastic. The band is still in top form. Hopefully they come back to the U.S.

A show on the grounds of Cardiff Castle sounds very cool. I played lawn chess there nine years ago! 😎

I saw them in Cardiff at the Motorpoint Arena last June, good gig. When I was a student at Cardiff Uni, a friend gave a few of us a lift from a staff-student cricket match back into the city, we went down a tarmac'ed road for quite a while from the Uni playing fields, then we came across some steps, so onto the grass and carried on, then puzzled as we came across more steps, then we found ourselves being directed through the castle grounds, and thus through the Horse Of The Year show (1977 I think it was) and out through the gates into the city!

While I knew it was Deep Purple, Jon kind of looks a bit like Richard Wright and Roger looks a bit like Free-era Paul Rodgers. To me at least.
