I have the dualdisc version of this excellent album, and the DVD layer shows on the player as DVD-A, and plays lossless surround :) :brew

+1 Oppo 103

Awesome! Thanks, think I'll order it. The DVD-A is off the charts expensive, but the dualdisc I can do. I recently got the DVD-A of Swinging For The Fences, this modern big band stuff is very addictive! And I'm sure the Oppo 103 will play it with aplomb :upthumb

I assume everybody who has any interest in modern big band has Gavin Harrison's Cheating the Polygraph?

Arrrggghhh! Stop it (eyes closed, fingers in ears, tongue going "LALALALALA")! If I had an endless supply of money this hobby would be so cool!

Haha - I hear ya! I have to pass on some titles. Money is an object! I'd say the Harrison disc should be strongly considered though. Cool references to PT material, great mix, great sonics. Or at least read up on others' review and put it on the wishlist.

Huh. No poll for it yet.

Don't let good old Clint hear you 'say' that, GOS must have spent a fortune by now ...............:ugham:

Is it my imagination, or has the QQ been super slow last few days? Here I am lonely in Argentina....and the forum is slow! Damn..... :violin

It could be worse..here you are in a foreign country and have internet and I'm home and have none....Verizon was purchased by Frontier and the very first day of the transition was yesterday and I had no internet all day...same for today..I'm making Ralphie proud today...I'm using all those benefits we get from our taxes and using a computer at the local library..I'm living large!

Wow! No internet huh? That stinks. I do have internet here. I walked down to the local super mercado and bought some fresh crusty bread, some stinky cheese and some stinky local made sausage. Oh yeah, and a bottle Mendoza Malbec. It's all good... :)

Last time I was in Buenos Aires I could eat all day for about $5. How's the exchange rate now?

Are there any shops where you can score some MC on the cheap?! I struck out big time in South Korea recently. Exchange isn't great and the only MC I could find is the occasional DD mix on a video. :(

Better get busy Tornado Red needs some encouragement buying Gavin Harrison's latest!!

Really...so Red is going frugal on us...that's a shame when a good man like Red goes down..I'm sure Petey wouldn't like that if he knew...uh oh...I just got an announcement that the library is closing soon...and I think it's closed tomorrow..

Who knows my man....I'm 6 hours north west of BA.....out in the sticks. As they say. Nothing here but gray buildings and a lot of dirt.

UGH, Clint. Support your local library. I don't think I've set foot in a library since my college days when I used to write those 'term papers' and had to laboriously copy everything by hand. My, how times have changed. Maybe they have some DVD~As and SACDs stashed away and you can take them home and give them a spin.......but make sure they have no peanut butter and jelly stuck to the playing side like I used to experience when I rented Laserdiscs from an audio 'boutique' in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Hope you're online soon and don't forget Deep Discount's 15% off sale is good through NOON on Monday. Times a' wasting!

Have you read a good book, lately?

Clint must still be without internet at his place...that sucks. Or, he has taken up "library-ism". :violin

Un dia mas para mi! Entonces.....Estados Unidos aqui vengo!!! Si!

Que tengas un buen viaje!

So, Clint have you shifted from using the Library's computer to a Taco Bell's? [QQ's version of a Mexican Jumping Bean]

Have a good trip yourself.

Hope your temporary computer 'glitch' gets sorted out soon because QQ ain't quite the same without you.

Su Amigo,

Raphaél
