Wouldn't we all? But so far, Radiohead seem very opposed to anything and everything to do with surround sound, so I certainly would never expect it from them, but it sure would be nice, wouldn't it?

Yeah. Hopefully more and more artists will become enthusiastic over time. Maybe they'll be over a buddy's house who just got their album mixed in 5.1 and sit and be blown away. Or maybe 5.1 is too uncool for Radiohead.
Maybe they'd consider dual stereo vinyl, akin to Zaireeka, but only quad, not octophonic. Eh, one can dream...

Any opinions on DVD-A Led Zeppelin, How The West Was Won, 2 Discs 5.1 ? Pricey at $65.00 but I really like the performance and sounds pretty good in stereo.

If that is the cheapest option, I'd go for it..obviously you are a LZ fan...
but , one thing , though, it is only 48/24...

For those who are interested, here's the full-length audio of the new song "You Bring The Summer" from the forthcoming album "Good Times" by the Monkees.
The song was written by fellow surround sound enthusiast Andy Partridge from XTC! :)

I have listened to this a few times and I LOVE IT!!!!!
Definite buy , even if it's only on CD (no LP)....

Now , it'd be the cat's meow if it got a MCH treatment!!!!

King Crimson - Live in Toronto 2015
This sounds pretty good on the first go around; wondering if anybody else noticed a flaw in Disc 2 - Track 3 - ConstruKction of Light? Skips from 00:44 to 01:06; tried this 4 times in a row.

I just watched on BBC4 (always good for music on a Friday night!) a documentary entitled "When Pop Went Epic: the Crazy World of the Concept Album" presented by none other than Rick Wakeman, who's sense of humour certainly came through, often at his own expense! and Yes he doesn't really like Tales Of Topographic Oceans......... so I'll disagree with him on that one!

Listening now to Goo Goo Dolls 24/192 Stereo download via HDTracks Dizzy Up The Girl. Awesome. HDTracks is on fire with 24 bit downloads, I can't keep up, yesterday was Black Sabbath, today all kinds of stuff. I am all about surround BUT, give me 24 bit while I am waiting for surround I am cool.

Do you have a better link Clint?

Thanks :)

Sorry...I posted the wrong link...in your case it's going to be hard to find a copy with reasonable shipping...these monster discs weren't distributed internationally..you can try on the monster link..but..I would guess the shipping is HIGH...check it out here..when I made my order thru the monster site I used the amazon option at checkout because I've had so much trouble with monster checkout...I paid more because amazon charges me tax...but the total came to $16.52...which is very reasonable...I checked discogs and several sites in Europe with no luck...you might watch ebay and see if one turns up...

Commercials That Ruin Songs

Listening to Bob Seger's Like A Rock a bit ago...man I loved that song back in the day! Love how the music was laid out, and the story the lyrics told. Now when I hear it all I envision is a Chevy truck. Dang. Any songs you can think of that you're sort of turned off to these days because of commercialism?

Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves

I know I probably say this every time, but this time I REALLY mean it! Radiohead's newest album "A Moon Shaped Pool" is a masterpiece of the highest musical order. The heavy use of orchestral textures this time around adds so much to the already incredible compositions. I highly recommend that everyone download themselves a copy right now!

Ozzy & Sharon divorcing after 33 years. Ugh. Why do I care? Because I find it amazing that Ozzy survied this long knowing all the drugs and booze he has consumed during his life. Without Sharon, I worry he will tailspin and do something incredibly stupid. Damn...

Even if you don't want to read the story, there are some good photos in there...
