I’ve been updating LE13 (with Kodi 22 alphas) regularly so I’ll let you know when I see it included. First step is to see the code merged in Kodi 22 source, and in Kodi 21. Then the next build is good to go.

You don’t need to reinstall, just copy the update to the LE ‘Update’ folder and reboot. Only the program and system files are updated, no changes to your settings, library or skins etc. You can open the Update folder from a PC on same network (you may know this already, same applies to CoreElec)

The latest fix to get last track duration from any mka file has been checked in to Kodi master source code (Kodi 22 alpha).

EDIT: Not done in Kodi 21 Omega. So it won’t get to CoreElec or LibreElec 12 yet.
Also done in Kodi 21 Omega earlier, I’d missed it. So it will get to CoreElec or LibreElec 12 soon.

It shouldn’t be long before it’s included in LE 13 nightlies as that’s using Kodi 22. Windows nightly builds of Kodi 22 will include the fix from tomorrow. CoreElec nightlies and LE 12 nightlies soon. It will be included in all Kodi 21.2 official builds, due out soon I hear.

I tested on LE 12 (Kodi 21.2) and LE 13 (Kodi 22 alpha) Atmos MKA files with tags and chapters were imported into the Kodi library and play perfectly (no date though). They also show correct chapter times if file browsing in Kodi.

I’ll see if I can get another MMH 9 beta out asap so users can tag their mka albums, beta 2 probably works too but beta 3 will create chapters with great accuracy (MMH was saving times to 3 decimal points as per the Matrosks examples but 9 will save to 6 decimal points (micro seconds).

For those who have installed a new Kodi 21.2 release from nighties or latest LE 13 with Kodi 22 and want to try the Kodi mka tag support for chapters and no cue, grab this MMH 9 beta 3 preview build.

The new MMH 9 Chapter editor with Kodi MKA tagging support:

Use 'Get Tags from Musicbrainz' to get the tags needed - The new 'Edit/View Tags' is to allow you to view them, no need to edit (unless you just want to manually enter data)

MMH 9 beta 3 preview with all the new Chapter Editor supporting new Kodi MKA tags:

This requires .NET 9 Desktop Runtime:

The Atmos Helper Decoder is broken (still a work-in-progress) in this version MMH 9 beta 3 preview, use MMH 8.

I installed the LE 12.0 Generic nightly dated 20250116 into my NUC, and I successfully tagged an mka with MMH 9 beta 3. It plays great and shows all chapters correctly, and skips to next chapter flawlessly. It's nice to finally see the time counter increment without jumping.
As you said - the year is not displayed, nor is the genre. Using the Aeon Nox: Silvo skin.

Genre is also missing.

Full tag support for mka is mostly implemented in Kod 22 now but there were a few missed (Year, Genre, DiscSubtitle, Remixed, Comment) that should be resolved soon. A Kodi developer is working on this.

I would expect this fix will be merged into Kodi 21 branch but it’s probably missed 22.2 release (although that’s not officially released yet by the look).

Is that just 9, beta 3? I did 1 album using beta 2.

Beta 3 preview I posted has a new queue and that’s not yet finished for Decoding. The preview was an early release for users to test the new Kodi MKA tagging (and other changes I’ve confirmed completed on the MMH thread).
