I just received "Welcome back my friends.." and "Trilogy".....they are both platinum shm-cds housed in 7" packaging...

Order was placed on amazon.ca...description went up after discs shipped...

What do they say for mastering info?

It's a japanese import...who, what, where I do not know...all I can say is it sounds like a cd and it costs 45.00...

If you've ordered it; and already own these titles on cd, unorder it.

At least Amazon UK doesn't charge until it ships. I'm not a huge ELP fan, so I'll just let it sit in limbo and enjoy other music until they figure this shit out.

There is certainly frustration on the part of both consumers and retailers concerning this release. When asked about it this morning, Burning Shed tweeted this reply:

We keep asking for details but none received yet. Though date is still down for December release we think it is prob. after Xmas. We were told 1st Dec last week when we asked again. Can’t see it myself!

Sid Smith (who we all know from writing the King Crimson and Yes liner notes) had this to say:

It'd be nice to think Jakko's 5.1 mix will be in the 3disc edition but not hopeful after BSS debacle.

So clearly there is still angst and doubt in the air...

Yeah I know the reason, it's a post of frustration. The first 2 ELP 5.1 mixes were incredible and were issued on time with no BS. Since SW stopped there has been nothing but frustration with the further issues of ELP in 5.1

When I ordered mine it was even cheaper than that so I'm sticking it out...since it's not going to delay the other part of my order(warchild)I can wait as long as it takes...plenty of good music on the way...that one is just a bonus for me

Cranky, pissed off, taken advantage of... all of the above. Trilogy doesn't matter that much to me as it has a lot more to do with the history of these recent releases (which I'm sure most are familiar with) rather than a single release being delayed.
