You beat me to it - what an absolute farce. We've had some at QQ defending slipping release dates and I understand that things can go wrong but this one takes the cake. Does anyone here have any inside knowledge of the situation?

Amazon still don't have any details bar a bare bones track listing. Surely there should be more details available.

If you talking about me I was not defending anything but merely trying to explain why release dates get pushed back.

In this case I think Amazon listed the item before it was even authored or the contents approved by the parties involved, or there would be a tracklisting.

Hi Plan9, I may have been thinking about your post but I'm certainly not being critical. I really do understand the elements that lead up to a release but my frustration cup is runnin' over!

We know that Jakko had this completed and in the bag mid last year. I would have thought that the details would have been known.

What sort of "inside information" would he have that none of us would be able to find online somewhere or was something that was not already known?

At least ATD never had a constantly changing release date leading to one disappointment after another.

Changing release dates - for whatever title - used to but now don't bother me anymore. It feels much better this way. Obviously we all know there is nothing we can do about it.

He was very passionate about ELP and surround sound. He felt dissatisfied when the mixes turned out to be less than stellar to him. He was attacked by the SW apostles because he wouldn't bow at the altar. So he was banished to the land of Stereo.

The biggest problem with the delays is that I still don't know about the specifics of the two disc set. Perhaps they are preparing to pull another "BSS-hoax", meaning instead of a cd and a surround disc (dvd or dvd-a) you'll get two stereo discs.

It must be self banishment.. He's very knowledgable however wigged out with some opinions as to what the ultimate mix should be. As someone who enjoys the mixes as something new and slightly different in this world and having some understanding of the raw materials provided and lack of band involvement, I share a popular view it's amazing that we got what we did.

Or something like that? I take offense to being portrayed as being in lock step on anything.

Better to inquire about a members whereabouts without casually throwing others under the bus with only an unsound theory.

This forum is filled with passionate people, there is no question.

Some of the members here really came down hard on TarkusNJ. If you read through those posts, you will see that he was merely expressing his opinion. We all don't have to agree with each other, but we should never get personal, or repetitive. What really annoys me is when you are in an internet situation like a forum and you refuse to stop until you have the last word.

TarkusNJ made his point and clearly explained why he felt that way. Still members persisted in restating their opinion to the point where it became uncomfortable. The same thing happened in other flare ups we've had here.

I don't know why we can't all just get along, respect each others opinions, and move on to the next thing. This is exactly what bums me out about this place. The majority of the time it's fun and harmonious, but when it gets ugly - it's a total turn off, and I begin to wonder if it's really worth it.

Then Snood comes along and cheers everybody up, just in time!
