ELP Emerson Lake & Palmer Cataloge in 5.1 Surround

Some of the members here really came down hard on TarkusNJ. If you read through those posts, you will see that he was merely expressing his opinion. What really annoys me is when you are in an internet situation like a forum and you refuse to stop until you have the last word. TarkusNJ made his point and clearly explained why he felt that way. Still members persisted in restating their opinion to the point where it became uncomfortable.

This perfectly reflects why some forum members came down on him so hard. TarkusNJ kept posting the same thing over and over again about disliking the SW mixes. He always needed to have the last word and it became annoying to some. He expressed his authoritative "opinion" as fact on more than one occasion.

Well said Jon. I appreciate the effort you put in here and it would be a big loss if you stopped.

The web is a strange place where forums are concerned, It's easy to make a comment you feel is funny or sarcastic or simply just a thought and be totally misconstrued as offensive. I have been viciously attacked and threatened on other forums just for saying I like a certain thing or feature.
I always try to state my opinion without disparaging anyone else's. But that doesn't always work and someone could take offense to a remark that I thought was totally benign. Or something like that. I used to comment on here more frequently but after having some posts deleted and moved around so they were out of context I decided to stop. After seeing the level of vitriol TarkusNJ received I had to limit my passion for the subject. Which is a shame but I don't need that negativity. So I went back to mostly lurking around in search of new surround music of interest.
If ELP ever releases Trilogy in 5.1 it won't matter as much to me anymore.

For what it is worth I love Tarkus (the album not the person!) but I typically default to the LP instead of my original CD or the new 5.1 version. Steven Wilson is phenomenal at what he does, but this time it just seemed a little flat for my liking (and maybe it was just the way he wanted it to sound).

In other news, I am going to see Steve Wilson May 26th in DC. Anybody going to any of the other tour dates?
