Well, I DO!!!!
Compared to their first LPs, of course it's not up to par, but , it is NOT THAT BAD ...except for the toe curling cover! (YIKES!:yikes )

As for SW dropping it, I think that it was the fact of having TWO Scorpios trying to control the mix (yes, Emo is another Scorpio, but he wasn't involved in the mixing)...

Trilogy is the EASIEST of them all...just release the "archived somewhere in a cupboard in Wales" Quad mix....

haha..!!

if.. and it's a big "IF".. it is languishing in a cupboard, Sony would be mad not to bring it out in a similar Deluxe Ed to the debut & Tarkus, preferably with a DVD-A..!! :D

I live in Wales just cheaked my cupboard's no archive meterial here.
Question for you all, are razor tie going to re release the rest of the recordings up to BSS with a 5.1 mix with or without MR wilson yes or no.

R&T have the power to do what they like with the catalog, or so I have been informed. There may be a press release forthcoming.

Maybe Steven and James Guthrie could get together and do the rest of the Floyd Catalog. That would be fantastic.

OMG... no kidding! Nearly every Floyd album would sound incredible in surround. SW needs to be cloned. One dedicated to making music, the other dedicated to mixing in surround. Then again, he is so productive perhaps he has already been cloned :)

I'd love to hear Steven's 5.1 takes on albums like Meddle, Obscured By Clouds (my fave PF album!)...and Animals - so underrated.

So would I. But unfortunately there's zero chance of this happening. Too bad because SW is a huge Floyd fan.

Don't you just love it? Sounds like R&T is as incompetent as Sundazed. I recall pre-ordering the Moby Grape reissues from Sundazed, and then seeing them cheaper at Borders before they sent mine. When I called Sundazed, they didn't know their ass from a hole in the ground regarding whether my order shipped.

Now back to R&T incompetence.

The discs I ordered directly from Razor & Tie's online ordering arm have never shown up. Did anybody get their discs from R&T?

I ordered mine from the links on the RT site to ELP merchnow site and those did show up.

Ha, I should have looked while in Best Buy! I've had these ELPs as Amazon standby items, so I'll just close the loop.

I had some chagrin due to their not having ANY copies of Paul Simon Live in NY in either the CD/DVD or CD/BD versions as a birthday present for my wife.

It's only the better Best Buy stores that have them. So, no stores in Utah. Did see Tarkus at FYE sale priced at $15.99, but the other one was sold out.

I am hoping we will see another batch of ELP in surround releases.
I know Razor & Tie had a meeting with ELP's manager (SY) last week but have no details as to what was discussed or what is planned.

There is an audio interview on Greg Lakes web site in which he is asked about the new surround releases (Tarkus and ELP S/T).
Greg was asked if he "....had much input into that?" and Greg replies "no, no I haven't. That was done by, um, his name escapes me..."
And continues to say he knows they're good and have really been done well.
I know a few years ago when I had asked him during a chat on his web site he said he was not a big fan of albums being remixed in surround if they were not originally intended or recorded in that fashion to begin with. I asked him if he had heard the King Crimson ITCOTCK.
