What of these artists and producers who have finished mixes that go unreleased? Where is that enthusiasm evident 5 years ago? Do any of the artists (other than Steve Wilson PT) really care?

Are there any surround panels and awards this year or did that fade away already? Elliot Scheiner? Greg Penney? Richard Dashut? Phil Ramone? John Kellog? Paul Klingberg? Jeff Glixman? WTF is this collective amnesia?

EDIT: Okay some of these names are mix engineers, but they are part of the collective silence...

I've often wondered this myself. "Where ARE these people?" (Say it as Jerry Sienfeld would) :smokin

Indeed... About once a week, usually Tuesdays, I cry myself to sleep just thinking about how betrayed I feel. Beck, what happened? R.E.M., not you too? And Trent Reznor... Trent, Trent, Trent... why have you forsaken the multichannel gods on your latest Blu-Ray release? btw... I'm just kidding about the crying stuff. (It's usually Monday night, not Tuesday.)

Edit: On the other hand... Sometimes I also get really angry about how everyone from the artists to the labels has dropped multichannel audio. So angry, in fact, that on the nights where I'm not crying myself to sleep, which is every night except Tuesday (or Monday, depending), I will go out to the bars, drink my weight in Stroh's, and then start throwing punches left and right until the fight ends up in the street and with me in jail.

I've preordered my copy of "Songs For Beginners". I hope it's as good as the DVD-A of Crosby's IICORMN.

I've been listening to a lot of CSN lately. Well... at least "a lot" as it pertains to me who had rarely listened to CSN prior to this summer; I still don't have much in my collection. So this release seems like good timing.

Just ore-ordered mine too.
Reckon I will probably just buy all that gets released now - there are so pitifully few coming through, what we do get has to be encouraged!

Still waiting for my order to ship.
Maybe first pressing sold out?? I got my order in waay back, but not even sent out yet.
(sob)

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to whether this will actually show up in the brick and mortars? I didn't pre-order it.... didn't see his thread until last week .... but I may have to take a walk to the nearby Barnes & Noble at lunch. John S.

I bought mine at my local music store. They had 2 copies of Nash and 2 Gilmour.

That Amazon shipping date is pretty ambiguous... every time I track it, it's still in the shipping center in Maryland. And the estimated delivery date is September 29. Maybe I should ride my bicycle to Maryland - I'd get there and back before the 29th.
