So I’ve just finished ‘side one’ of Human’s Lib….
@Stephen W Tayler you are a GENIUS. These 5.1 mixes are absolute gold 10/10!!
The best reference examples of pop mixed into surround I’ve heard.
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!

EDIT: now finished whole disc. Just astonishing!! Onwards to Dream Into Action…

Got both of these yesterday. Had time to listen to "Dream Into Action" only last night, but the mixes were terrific. I was not that much of a fan BITD, but have grown to very much appreciate his music over time.

I do have a question though: Is the version of "No One is to Blame" the version that was included on the original album/CD? While I did like it, It's quite different than the version I know and have always heard on the radio, including what I'm pretty sure is a different vocal take.

The version of "No One is to Blame" is the original recording of the song that was featured on the album. The following year, Jones re-recorded the song with Phil Collins and issued it as a single. That is the version that was a hit. Hopefully the version with Phil will get a surround mix at some point in the future. Still waiting on my copies to arrive. Really looking forward to hearing them.

I'm so happy for those of you who'll get the titles this week.

They are almost impossible to find here in Sweden. I found this on a couple of webstores, DIA is not available for order, https://www.bengans.eu/cgi-bin/ibutik/AIR_ibutik.fcgi?funk=visa_artikel&artnr=5523784
but it's just messed up, so I ordered both albums from Denmark.
Now iMusic, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to not ship anything until the release day!
So my stuff will be shipped tomorrow on on Monday, and I'll hopefully have everything before next Friday...

I guess it's too late for you now, but jpc.de have both:

Human's Lib

Dream Into Action

It's not the original version, which I found disappointing. I had selected the DTS 5.1 mix on the blu-ray and got NOTHING! No sound at all! I tried the Atmos mode. I got sound, but it wasn't good. The CD, on the other hand, sounded great; even better, when routed through the Surround Master. But the blu-ray, the disc I really wanted to hear, not so good. Cherry Red, WTF?

And on to Howards Human Lib
Never bought either of these releases back in the day.
Well, I've put that right now.
SWT really has excelled himself in this 5.1 mix too.

If anything, it's a shame he wasn't asked to mix them in Dolby Atmos too, as they are prime candidates for that 360 treatment.

I know we have the Dolby Atmos tracks on both releases by Bob Clearmountain, which in themselves, are very good.

Ordered from Amazon US. Am now being told that they are having supply chain issues and don’t know when it’ll be shipped. Meanwhile, I’m still a week out from Amazon shipping Bridge of Sighs.
Yep, I'm in the same boat with Amazon US for Human's Lib, and the only reason I ordered from them in the first place was that when I placed the order, the listing *specifically* promised delivery on May 31st -- not just that it'd be released on May 31st, but that it'd be *delivered* then.

Somewhere along the way, the "release date delivery" part disappeared, and the listing just said "this'll be released on May 31st". But, I held out hope and didn't cancel the order -- in retrospect, I should have pulled the plug and gone elsewhere.

And what's rich about the whole "oh, we're sorry, we can't get the item right now and we have no idea when we'll have it" deal is that there are now *fifteen* other sellers listed on the Amazon page for Human's Lib, with delivery dates as soon as the end of next week.

So, basically, Amazon US is crap as far as releases from Cherry Red, Ape House, and other UK-based boutique labels. I went through this same deal with XTC's The Big Express -- should've learned my lesson.

Totally agree with the hate-on for Amazon. It’s become a normal thing now with our preorders.

Hell, I’m surprised I received my R.E.M. order today for Fables of the Reconstruction LP on the actual release day.

My order for Dream Into Action has been delayed but apparently they shipped out my copy of Human’s Lib which should be here today. 🤞
Upon further digging into my account, nope, Human’s Lib never did ship but I have not received a delay email either. It only shows, arriving by 10pm. They just forgot to say what day of what month. 😆
