I have this one which plays in 5.0 with silent rears. Only Left-Center-Right are active.

I don't think so.

I don't think 3-channel is much of a thing for produced music? If it's an orchestral or jazz recording in long takes you're getting the feed, but if it's different instruments being tracked it seems unlikely?
