Not an outstanding mix, but a worthy listen just the same: Nubya Garcia's Odyssey. Ambitious saxophonist/bandleader/composer who's part of the newer/younger London jazz scene. Spiritual jazz fans, take note. Like her last album from 2020 (no Atmos mix), this one features track-by-track liner notes in Apple Music.

Had to check it out after seeing jazz critic Nate Chinen's enthusiastic recommendation; he calls it "a notable event" and singles it out as his top pick among the fall jazz releases. Garcia is also a guest on the recent episode of Chinen & Greg Bryant's WRTI podcast The Late Set, where they expound on several additional picks. She's there to talk about Odyssey and its inspirations:

It's funny that their first two albums are now missing. We previously heard that Alan Parsons was working on surround mixes for those.

The first two Ambrosia albums are still showing up on Apple Music, in stereo, for me. And the two tracks previously reported as being in Atmos, How Much I Feel and Ready For Camarillo, are stereo only for me. I'm in the U.S.

Always one of my favorites - with this being the 1st album with his "new" band. Some nice surprises on the Atmos mixes - really enjoy Downeaster Alexa!!

I ended up raising the rears - again, like on the other albums - to get a really nice surround experience. However, I only needed to do it on some tracks this time around. For instance, Not her Style, Extremes, Fire all benefit from boosting the rears.

Overall, I think this is a very good surround mix!

I posted about this yesterday in the Classical Atmos Streaming thread, but I don't know how many strangers regularly check in there, so I'm cross-posting, mainly because folks here periodically ask about classical titles with "discrete" (or at least more than just ambience-in-the-rears-and-overheads) mixes.

I managed to miss this one when it appeared earlier this year: the Gothenburg Symphony performing works by young, mainly Nordic composers, including a couple who typically show up on labels like 2L and Sono Luminus, namely: Maya S.K. Ratkje and Daniel Bjarnason--but also the Tokyo-born Danish transplant Miho Hazama, who leads (and writes for) her own forward-thinking jazz orchestra, m_unit, in addition to directing the Danish Radio Big Band. This is a fabulous album with a very active mix by Lars Nilsson--maybe just a half-tick below the level of the work of a Morten Lindberg or a Daniel Shores.

Thanks, I eventually found the two Atmos songs, though it wasn't straightforward at all. Couldn't find the second version of the Life Beyond L.A. album until I searched just for the How Much I Feel song, then played through the versions returned until I hit the Atmos one. That led to the second version of the album with Ready For Camarillo in Atmos.

Came across “We didn’t start the fire” in the Made for Spatial Audio playlist and was pleasantly surprised to hear the percussion start straight off in the surrounds. Alternates between front only for the verses and then surrounds plus a little height for the chorus. Also some height sound effects (cheering for Brooklyn has winning team). I was inspired to check out one of my other favorites, “I go to extremes,” but it was not as ambitious. Will have to check out Downeaster Alexa as there is some good potential for atmospheric effects.

I really hope “The Bridge” is the next album to get the Atmos treatment.

New one from Joy Oladokun. Her last one was fabulous, and had a pretty good mix, IIRC. (The songwriting on this one doesn't move me nearly as much; YMMV.)

Soundtrack by Kris Bowers, whose talents as a jazz pianist have been eclipsed by his fine film scores. (The film cues are preceded by a couple of Maren Morris songs.)
