The Hard Quartet - The Hard Quartet
If there is a sides-heavy Atmos mix on Apple these days, it has to be this one

Emmett Kelly, Stephen Malkmus, Matt Sweeney, Jim White - indie supergroup or not, this is a quite unique release. It's discrete, raw, focused, yet colorful.

A hot garage-fest load, and the morning/day after, all most welcome in this murky local season.
(Not on Tidal, so no IME credit)

I have to say that I don't hear discrete sounds at all. It seems like an "All Stereo" mix to my ears

I have no Idea why I stopped listening to their albums after "Vs". Oh, it's probably because I stated my dark wave phase in the mid 90's
Anyway, great album and a great mix.
Don't miss the Acoustic bliss of "Off He Goes".

Me and the wife were blown away by it.
This live album with an 80(!) orchestral piece is like Phillip Glass on steroids (In the best possible way).
It's also such a grandiose and enveloping Atmos mix. A feast for the ears.

I just found out that the whole concert is on YouTube, but I'll leave it for another day

oh crikey! i'll give it another go next time i'm at the computer and have a look at what's going on in each of the channels, it was such good fun and such a trip i was enthralled and it felt like stuff was hither and thither
