I hope so... 🙏 I think these mixes (along with Rocks Off) might be from the faked 'Honk' greatest hits album though? I can't check right now. Be great if they are new! I thought the Hackney Diamonds mix (that came out after Honk) was decent enough - so hopefully they go back to do the same for the back catalogue sometime... Come on Mick and Keef me ol' muckers :smokin
oh yeah.. they're the same bloody mixes as on the "Honk" comp 🥴🤷🏻‍♀️🤦‍♀️😅🤣

false (teeth) alarm, sorry! 😬
blame it on the Bailey's.. i mean, Boogie. 👀🤣

Hi @Shermatz
Re: post #13,246

You say lots of interesting things in reply to my post, but you've somehow accidentally made it look as if I've said those things beyond the first two paras. (I'm pretty sure I'm not a retiree, for example.) :)
APOLOGIES for that, I have this here mobile phone, but I really only know how to use it as a hammer. I don't expect the site to go back for a second fix, but note that the last paragraph of your original post is actually the first paragraph of my reply.

APOLOGIES once more!!! TGIF!

In my case, Apple TV 4Kis the front-end to my receiver for all things streaming, so I use the Tidal app on it. The level difference is an issue, so I tend to favor Apple Music over the Tidal app.

I like Tidal's implementation of Credits, so I can see who tracked or mixed or produced a track, and go spelunking when I find I particularly like the production on.
Also Apple Music most titles have credits nowadays

Death - Human
Believe it or not, it's a real one. It gets better past the opening track. Oh, and it's just the album tracks plus the God of Thunder cover in Atmos, not the stuff from the extra disc.
I just found out about the existence of this album browsing this topic
Man! What a killer mix! I never would have expected to hear a Death album in Atmos, especially with such a fantastic mix.

There aren’t any "effects" on a Death album specifically designed for surround and Atmos speakers, but I loved how immersive it feels, especially how the guitars and chorus move back and forth.

I haven’t been able to find out who mixed this in Atmos, but they did an amazing job!

afaik it was Jim Morris of Morrisound Studios

I haven’t seen credits for Atmos or spatial mixes. If you have, please post an example. Thanks.
if you hit "Info" on an individual track to view credits, it'll often have a "Mixing Engineer" credit. a quick search to see what else they've mixed and if they're credited to any other Immersive mixes and if there's any extra info on their work in Immersive audio often brings up some results.

edit: i should add, this is how i do it on the iPhone, i don't know what happens on the Apple TV 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

Isn’t the “mixing engineer” credit merely the credit associated with the non-spatial mix (i.e. stereo mix)?

I love how much better they've gotten at including credits. Now, I just hope eventually they become tappable links so we can directly find other music by performers and production people. Shouldn't be too hard soooooo maybe by the time I have my casket wired for 7.1.4.

maybe but i think it's possibly inconsistent and some digging is required to verify which mix they're crediting, idk? 🤷🏻‍♀️

edit: what made me suspect it's not always the Stereo is i've gone to check the credits on a track and mixing's been credited to somebody like Steve Genewick or Mark Wilder and i know those guys didn't originally mix the material in question.

There is a lot of credit-linking like that on discogs, although, being volunteer-entered data, it’s spotty.
