Your welcome!! Glad to share and hopefully it helped you find some music you may not have been aware of.Thanks for this Eric. I enjoyed your choices.
Yeah, fidelity is super in 5.1, 7.1 and Atmos. In stereo, it's way too loud comparitively. I call the mix mostly immersive. Yes, the height speakers are active, but during listening, I don't necessarily notice them. My ears cannot really tell much difference between the Atmos mix and the others on this disc. I gave iet an 8 on the poll thread. I'd say, in general, it's way too much money unless you are somehow a diehard fan of the band....which for sure I'm not.Thoughts?
It's been out there for quite a while. Reactions to it have been mixed.Just saw this last night, not sure how long it’s been on Apple Music.

I knew the physical disc has been out, didn’t know it was released on streaming. Agree on the mixed reactions,It's been out there for quite a while. Reactions to it have been mixed.
I've only played this once, and I was not impressed by the Atmos. Not much in the heights as I recall.
I do not listen to music like that, I don't care were the trumpets are. I don't like the music, that's the biggest problem for me. Would have helped if it was a mix with good use of the heights, but it ain't.[ Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band - The Gordian Knot ]
This is one example of Atmos mix to make you 'believe' you are there within the band playing. The same record/mix criteria that is the distinctive of Auro-3D (also in this Blu-ray).
There are not so much panning, ping-pong or moving sound effects ala Yello-Point, but the locations of each group of instruments, among with the wide sound of drums is fantastic.
This is one of the Atmos albums that I take advantage of my Wide speakers (9.1.4) and you can 'see' with your eyes closed, where the trumpet's section is located, and even distinguish each different individual trumpet in a different position.

This sounds very interesting will give it a listenFor fans of 90’s ambient techno like Future Sound of London, Global Communication, and to some extent the FAX label:

Says lossless, is Atmos, is great. On the 4th track now, it’s mostly modern day club techno leaning, but isn’t afraid to peel the beats back to something more abstract.
EDIT: looking around more about this group, sounds like they started as a blog digging up old disco/italo house records and making mixes, then they got into making their own music and they brought back the mixtape thing as an Apple Music Radio show. Lots to dig into with them, and this is the first I’m hearing of them. This seems to be their only Atmos/surround release at the moment.
