I spun up a couple I haven't listened to in awhile. Chicago Transit Authority's debut album from Rhino, a Quadio DTS disc and America Homecoming on DVD-A. Homecoming is a fantastic listen, great mix, warmth, and so crystal clear, need to play that one more often. CTA is enjoyable too, except for Free Form Guitar. I need to remember to keep the remote handy so I can press SKIP a little faster next time.

LOVE Homecoming...yes..a great disc

Talking Heads SPEAKING IN TONGUES from the box set. Pretty much at their creative peak (though soon to fall). "Road to Nowhere" is one of those singles at once exhilarating and depressing, for reasons I won't go into beyond the fact that the song and the video pretty much fill in each other's gap, sort of....

ED :)

Yes Fragile DVD-A: This one arrived today and it is much better than I expected. This was a low priority disc based on current prices and mixed but generally positive reviews. I agree that there's a good amount of bass in the center and I typically set the center a tad higher for movies but after a slight tweak down, it meshed. The use of the surround is subtle at times, well used at others.

OH MY GOD, fragile is the album I first heard at a best buy kiosk and immediately went out and purchased a dvd-a player and upgraded my reciever, and never looked back. On a high end system that dvd-a will blow your ears clean off your head.

Nicklecreek - This Side SACD. I played the few tracks that are palatable to my rock orientated taste today. The musicianship and vocals are top shelf and sonically it's a gem with a well executed surround mix and superb fidelity.

A five-star rated album by a Jazz Trio in Europe performing the American Songbook. Excellent performances and crystal clear sound in Multichannel DSD. Recommended !
