Good point..so...

The Doors - L.A. Woman (DVD-Audio)

it does sound great...I guess this sounds much better than I remember. Pretty clean surround mix...punchy and upfront vocals, drums and synth!

Edit - I think my new Denon seems to pick apart this disc better than my old 988 did. hearing some stuff I don't recall...

Newer equipment really puts a fresh spin on your music...I honestly think we both overreacted when the Doors discs came out...we expected too much...I've learned to love them over time...certainly not reference but the best they will ever be...especially since Ray passed away...he was the one guy that kept the Doors in the spotlight...the most active of the remaining band members...

Now I'm going to get all sentimental...love The Doors. They just don't "make 'em like that any more"!

Moved on....

Watching/Listening to...

TOTO - Falling In Between Live

If anyone is remotely a TOTO fan - do yourself a favor and get this disc....it is way over the top excellent. They are in top form, vocally and musically. Wow!

Linkin Park - Reanimation DVDA.

This is simply an awesome surround mix!

Not only is it a kick ass album, it shows the SURROUND potential of Heavy Metal and Rap!
Why isn't there more NEW Heavy metal and/or Rap released this way!!??

Quirky day..
BNL- Everything to Everyone DVD-A...not a disc that lends itself to repeated listenings, but still amusing---
Donnie Fagen- Kamakiriad MVI...incredible how a CD recorded in 44/16 can sound so freakin amazing on DTS 48/24...and what a mix!!!!
David Bowie -Heathen SACD..haven't really gotten into this one..so far I like it better than "Reality"...but it's apples and oranges...

DONALD FAGEN - Nightfly (SACD Multichannel)

If I remember, a real good friend gave this to me as a gift...and what a gift it was. Super, excellent surround mix.

Hehe - yeah, he is.....I'll introduce you to him some day.

I bet he thought you just needed a little push..but that was in the old days...the new Gos 2.0 has got it going..he's making those bold moves with very little outside influence...you have come a long ways since he had to force the Jeff Beck blu ray on you..hehe...

It's a little scary really. I'm on a roll...and can't stop. Man, Fagen, New Frontier sounds amazing...jeez.
