Think I've only played this once since I got it, need to give it another spin this weekend! Thanks for the reminder (y)

I bloody LOVE that album!

I've seen Claudi Brucken live a few times and on a couple of occasions, she's been joined by Susanne Freytag and Ralph Dorper and performed some tracks from this album including the awesome 'Dream Within a Dream' :)

Both ladies are still hot, too ;)

Moody Blues "Seventh Sojourn" on discrete 4-channel tape. Nice.

Joan Baez - Blessed Are... (SQ Vinyl)
Bonnie Koloc (QS Vinyl)

Steely Dan- "Gaucho" DTS CD(!!!)

Hadn't listened to this one in FOREVER...interesting differences...this one is more "midrangey"...the last mix was much better too regarding panning...also , the rears seem to be quieter on this one too..

Have this one twice on CD, on SACD and on the best...DVD-A!!!

Just missing the LP...

Was just listening to this last night in SACD Surround. Excellent! Even better than the DTS CD version!

Just finished listening to Tom Petty Live Anthology Blu-ray from the collectors box set. Now I'm on to NIN With Teeth Dual Disc. I love days off.

Crowded House self-titled DVD-A in my Acura. I hadn't listened in awhile and had forgotten what a nice mix this is! Plus, I'm a big Neil Finn fan, wish somehow his first solo album Try Whistling This was available in surround.

The Nat King Cole Story in 3-Channel SACD Stereo Sound. If you like Nat King Cole, this series from Analogue Productions is just stunning. Can't believe these are from the same 3 Channel Master Tapes that were used when these songs were first issued in the '50s and '60s. Light years better !

Kudos to Kevin Gray, Steve Hoffman and Gus Skinas for their work here. Wow !

In between rests from sitting down and standing up...
Santana- Festivál (sic) DVD-A from Q8 (quite good SQ in spite of being Columbia)
(Professor k. krunch sez: you know, it's curious that for someone who's from Tijuana, MEXICO, Carlos does not really know how to speak Spanish ...a LOT of wrong accents and grammar in his stuff..here for example, the word "Festival" does NOT have an accent and neither does the word "caracoles"....¡muy mal, vato, a ver si aprendemos, güey!)

Joe Walsh- The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get DVD-A from Q8 (one of the best sounding Q8s I've ever heard)

Carlos Santana doesn't speak Spanish because he isn't from Spain. He's from Mexico where they speak Mexican. A world apart and a world of difference.

I'm watching/listening to the original Japanese Pioneer Artists LaserDisc release of Olivia Newton-John's Physical. I'm using the MSB LS-1 Dolby AC-3 Prototype LaserDisc player and the Tate 101A in the Surround mode with a Circle Surround decoder connected to the front L/R Fosgate outputs to create a center channel - it works superbly - you would never know the Fosgate wasn't creating the CF signal itself.
BTW, here's the prototype player built/designed by MSB for Pioneer and Dolby to output the Dolby Digital signal on LaserDisc's

its remote is brass and quite haavy.

its internal video circuitry mods are the same as the THX Runco LJR-II Super LaserDisc Player and the three players made were hand built as you can see and hand aligned to THX specs. Dolby got a player, Pioneer got one and Mark Brasfield of MSB kept one, which is the one I got.

now I need the Involve SQ decoder to review on my website - I think a review on my site would sell some units considering there are SQ LaserDisc's and surround synthesis is so wonderful. I hope Involve will let me put a link to their site on my LaserVision Landmarks website. - quad started the home theater sound revolution and the involve decoder is a new Landmark product.
