A little weed, a little scotch and lots of Jimi Hendrix : Electric Ladyland. :smokin:sneaky:
Similar situation here, except substitute for Electric Ladyland the Appetite For Destruction / Gn'R Lies BD-A. Lots of moments that are making me smile. 🍪🥃😎 I'll need to get that Hendrix set soon, though. Looking forward to All Along The Watchtower.

What year is your release Mike, I need an upgrade from my dualdisc?

Tough to tell from the packaging. 2006 or 2008, maybe?
What is the dualdisc like? I'd say only get this for the DSD mastering. There is only upmixed surround, to my ears.

interesting.. tbh i've never given it any kind of scrutiny, i thought it was supposed to be like the Dave Brubeck "Time Out" 5.1, where they used the 3-channel master across the Front LCR with ambience captured from playback of the Stereo in the studio (or something along those lines) routed to the Rears?

I have yet to check the center for discreteness. That might be true. And capturing studio reverb might be true too. I can't read Japanese! Still, no exciting surroundiness.

Family Reunion : The O'Jays (1976 SQ Quadraphonic LP of the 1975 Classic album, decoded by the fabulous Involve Surround Master)

well we've had three multichannel masterpieces from (Uncle) Billy Paul and one gem from the Mother Father Sister Brother's, now can we pretty please have the whole PIR family of Quads, specifically all the O'Jays Quad beauties so we can really get down with the Philly Sound!! 🤩

(to the tune of "Family Reunion"!)
🎶

"it'll be nice,
to have a Vocalion Remaster..
a Vocalion Remaster!
ooooh..
it'll be nice,
so nice,
so nice..
to come together.."

Looks like you have the 2007 Sony vers., there's also a 2003 Columbia vers., don't know any diff., but the Dualdisc is Dulby me thinks; and a recording of this stature deserves only the best -like a mutt I know:ROFLMAO:

haha..!! 🐶 😂
gotta get at least one variation of the Surround SACD! (there's a few!) your woofers will love you for it but your tweeters may have different ideas! 🐦

I want... no... I NEED this one on SACD...

I think the North American copies in dvd dd dts are pretty good sounding . The dts is 96/24 . I do have 4 dvd/sacd Genesis releases though , and find I switch back and forth sometimes preferring SACD other times DTS DVD .
Have no problem with my players----- playing PAL.

But that being said, I'm always on the lookout for a cheap copy (oh ya right ) of Lamb...in DVD/SACD .

I think they did just that frederico, but unlike Brubeck's Time Out , I can hear ambience plus a bit in the rears.
Oh and I have the DD dueling disc version.
