360 Degrees Of Billy Paul (Vocalion SACD)

"...and go back and tell everybody
that Billy Paul's got a song...
it may be a-quite quite simple but now that's it done,
i hope you don't mind,
i hope you don't mind,
that i wrote down in words...
how wonderful life is...
while you're in the world,
you're in the world,
you're in the
wu-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-urrrrld..
and if, if i was on a rooftop,
i'd kick off my shoes,
i'd write a few verses
and then i'd get the blues.."

BBC kindly screen Glastonbury in surround..so watching and listening.
Currently Stormsy on BBC 2..started to watch but grime just ain't my thang..
So now it's Tame Impala on BBC 4.

Only 210,000 people there!!

A pity they don't stream this around the world..or do they
You can access it via this method

Apparently...anyone interested to give it a go.?

By the way, the surround mix is really good for a live TV broadcast.

If it where not for JanBaker and skherbeck I would be lost.
Ayreon, last years # 1 hit for me.

Couldn't agree more! Even though this music is right in my strike zone, I had not previously heard of Ayreon until being introduced to them here at QQ.

I bought The Source, was stunned, and quickly bought the rest of the surround catalog. The Source still remains my favorite of the bunch.

As a bonus, the earbook box sets look awesome and stack nicely with Jimi, Dream Theatre and others...

Oh I hear now, this is what Rush in surround is supposed to sound like 🤟

Oh yeah - the intro to "Xanadu" absolutely blows me away every time I play it. Especially those first three minutes - the wind swirling around and the blocks/chimes behind you, then Alex enters and you feel like you're in some kind of guitar tornado. I've always liked Steven's mixes, but like damn, this is the work of a surround god. Now I understand why everyone was so bummed when the Hemispheres box came out...

I'd love to get this as a stand-alone 5.1, but can't justify the other bling. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.

First listen the Steven Wilson mix of Rush: A Farewell To Kings (Blu Ray 5.1)

Oh I hear now, this is what Rush in surround is supposed to sound like 🤟
