Damn, 2AM huh? I don't know how you manage to stay up so late.....by 9PM, I'm usually in bed. But...then I get up at 5am...so....
That's cuz I'm still on Tokyo time! And listening to
41544

Ray recorded in 1973 backed by the band bearing the long-dead Basie's name recorded in 2006 is messing with my already discombobulated sense of time!

Toulouse Sausage Street : The Doobie'd Brothers (QuadraDissssc)

listening to the Rears only again (my latest wheeze! its so much fun!!) they've got that "hollowed out" quality of the CD-4 format but even cranked there's barely anything there that shouldn't be! such a happy bunny! hopefully i don't get the distortion sandpaper blues and throw myself into the rabbit stewpot haha!! time for an aperitif 🍸 🐰

And not for nuthin but I CAN NOT........REPEAT........CAN NOT !!!!!!........hear any channels out of whack on this beaut. via Neil Young.

Sounds fine to me too...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pieces Of Dreams : Stanley Turrentine (CD-4)

ok, its an instrumental (and a 'bladdy gawjuss' one at that) but indulge me for a second while i burst briefly into Quaddy-oke! 🎤🎼🎷

"..running away
could lead you further astray
and as for fishing in streams
for pieces of dreams
those pieces will never fit
what is the sense of it..."

gets me to-thinkin', what could've been the Jack Jones Quad release RCA planned in '72/'73?
(his output with RCA in the 70's is of significant interest to me, i grew up with him.. and i love an underdog you just know has pedigree qualities.. and these to me are unheralded albums of a fine interpreter of song at the top of his game.. maybe a man born in the wrong era?) well it must be "Jack Jones Sings Michel Legrand", of course! now if Vocalion could unearth that unreleased Quad... my tiny mind would be instantly blown!! 🤯

meantime Stanley T., Gene Paul, Ray Parker Jr., David T. Walker, Dean Parks and co are rockin' my room in super surround and for that i am immensely grateful 😍

This young woman (well, she was still young when this came out in 2008) is AMAZING

She has 5 multichannel releases. Although I found all of them on CD in Japan, couldn't find one on SACD. I ordered this one through Discogs from Japan; it was waiting for me upon our return.

Most unfortunately, Clement, ALL of Hiromi's TELARC Multichannel SACDs and even the three STEREO PURE DSD single~layered SHM~SACDS [Japan ONLY releases] are Out of Print.

Right!?! I was hitting all of the Disc Unions I could reach, where I have found a number of OOP titles in the past. I didn't even find any of the SHM SACDs:confused:. I ordered this one from a seller on Amazon, and it, too, was waiting for me upon my return:

At this point, I have 4/5 of her MCH releases--only missing Time Control. Patience. Btw, listening to this disc from 2003 immediately after Beyond Standard, I'm astounded by her development

Eminently CRANKABLE!

e'eryone (good, bad, boy, girl, and e'erything in between) deserves quad and surround! get down!

I just put it on, and I agree, it’s quite a wonderful treasure… Thanks for reminding me how good it sounds in surround!
