The TV Special Edition of "Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll…Too Young to Die"

Even almost two weeks after its release, I'm still in love with this new edition of this album, one that I have never really loved at all from the Jethro Tull 70s catalogue until now. This edition may now beat "Aqualung" in terms of its ability to improve upon the original album's sound and release. Highly recommended for everyone into Jethro Tull and surround sound! :)

Thrak Boxset-WOW there is so much 5.1 content to go through, so far I like the what was redone with the 1995 album in 5.1 and have gotten through two of the live albums,Kensington and Japan and both sound very, very good.
Is it Attackatrak that is four different mix's of same song done through improv's-this was hard to get through for me as its very intense music but my head space might not have been right as I had already listened to the Thrak album mix and Kensington and this was third thing up on same day so might have been to much KC for one day. Will have to tackle that one another day.

On my commute to work-really liking Yes Fragile DVDA(SW mix), he did such a nice job with this, can really crank it, never heard this album sound so good.

I think that might just be the biggest improvement of an already existing surround title that I have ever heard...the old title wasn't horrible...but this new version is just SO much better..

Glad you approved Lute. Why don't you sign up for a free hand signed copy of Janet Feder's This Close.....Under QQ door Prize #64 https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/fo...se-quot-multichannel-SACD&p=273184#post273184 Remember, we both love her first album Songs With Words.

WoW  Another Door Prize! Tis the season, isn't it! Thanks for the heads up.

Here's another beautiful 2L recording. It is a violin/piano duo so this one is fully immersive rather than hyper discrete. The music is intoxicating and bubbly as champagne. But, the music isn't French. It is program of music by the Polish violin virtuoso/composer Henryk Wieniawski and his talented brother, Josef. Terrific performance by Piotr Janowski (violin) and Wolfgang Plagge (piano).

Paul McCartney - The McCartney Year (DTS 5.1). A great sounding disc and mix. (Maybe a candidate for a 5.1 SACD from AF?)

That was a video-only DVD release. Not a candidate for SACD. But a very enjoyable three discs with Mull of Kintyre sounding exceptional. The Tug of War songs sound better than the 2015 remixed album, IMHO (of course).

Now of course if Audio Fidelity could license, remaster, and reissue the Quad mixes for "Band on the Run" and "Venus & Mars" on SACD, that would be stellar, but I doubt it will ever happen given the recent non-surround reissues and McCartney's tight hold on his own catalogue. :(

Pink Floyd - Pulse on dvd. Disc 2, Dark Side in its entirety and a few tawdry extras like Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell ;). DD 5.1

Picked up an Sacd of a person I had never heard of because it was a good price. Calogero is a French (France) singer. The multi channel Sacd is actually very good. Not a real aggressive mix but it's very good. Enjoying it on third listen.
