I really go to get caught up....moving house is such a pain in the a**. Several discs waiting, I've got the mains, center and sub connected and just need to get the rears up, haven't decided yet just how I want to do it. We plan on only being here a year or two so anything I do is temporary, just want to get the best bang with minimal intrusion to the walls etc.

Same goes for the other room, the living room with TV etc. Last house was pre-wired for 5.1 and worked great...this one isn't so I need to improvise a bit....try get something that works but still looks okay.

I seem to recall being mildly disappointed with this one, but I spun it for the first time in a while tonight and it really worked for me. The surround mix doesn't set the world on fire, but it fits the vibe of the album and there's plenty of good stuff happening in the rears (guitar solo in "Another Grey Morning", backing vocals in "Handy Man", etc). Taylor's vocals are solo'd in the center and it really feels like he's 'right there' on some of the quieter songs. I suppose it could be argued that the rears are a bit low, but once you really crank it up (and you can!) everything seems to fall into place.

Hmm - didn't know about this one Adam...

its a beauty 😍
great album and a nice mix.
one of Arista's best Quads i reckon.

i did a demodulated drop of the CD-4 (never got round to the Q8) a few years ago but i'll have another go with the LP during the downtime since i feel i've got things sounding a wee bit better since then 🙂
