It's Friday night and I have my usual Southern Comfort and Bud Light, I am high as usual. Did you here that they want to change a Jack and Coke, Nation wide, and call it a "Lemmy" in bars across America?, That is so cool. Anyway, because I am a heavy metal dude I am listening to the awesome DVD~A of Ufo, Lights Out In Tokyo : Live. I will say it over and over I love multichannel DVD~A's my absolute favorite format. Plus, cuz Ralphie is my friend , I have goop for my discs and I have power conditioners and fancy wires for my machine that I spent money on and it's all very cool. Are we ready to start a Rock Thread yet and really get down to audiophile business? I am ready to make new friends.

Pretty sure you're right. But even over at DR they have it listed as the "2015 blu ray", but I'm guessing that's just the year the 2011 mix was put on the BD. Kind of confusing. The DR is all over the map on FBN and AFTK, couldn't find the Signals blu ray on their site. Guess that's one reason these are so hit and miss. I liked Rivendell and In The End on FBN, but thought the song FBN was flat with the percussion muffled...and it hurt to turn that one up. I should carve up the good songs from each of these and make one great BD @:

I can assure both you (and EB) that the RUSH DVDAs and HFPA Blu-Ray discs are exactly the same, and that means same content, same mixes, and same masterings. The only thing that changes between the discs is the fact that the Blu-Ray's graphics are in high-def, while the DVDAs have standard-def graphics, but even then the content of the graphics are the same. It's just the resolution that changes.

Glad you're feeling no pain, Markie. Wish everyday could be a no painer!

BTW, what goop did you buy. Last time I ordered from Music Direct, the salesman turned me on to Atomic Goop......no BS.......Ultra Bit Platinum Plus (actually he charged me 40 bucks for the older Ultra Bit and sent me the Platinum plus by mistake) Should be $130! This **** is unbelievable and it only takes 15 seconds to apply (and ONLY once). I found a cheaper place to buy it. http://www.ultrabitplatinum.com/products/

I'd go for the 4 ounce kit. The 2 ounce kit at Music Direct is $130. Can even be used on Vinyl....and it's water soluble.

BTW, besides the AF Quad of Billy Cobham's Spectrum are you also aware that on the same date they're releasing another Herbie Hancock 4.0: http://www.amazon.com/Thrust-HANCOC...rds=Herbie+Hancock+Thrust+sacd&tag=acleint-20

Regards to VG.

Addenda: check out the awesome video GOS posted on All About Music #2 (#1026) (Father John Misty video): I'm ordering it for sure: https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/showthread.php?20544-ALL-ABOUT-MUSIC-2&p=278630#post278630

I have heard from a reliable source that the audio encoding programs used for the DVD-As and BDs are THE SAME!!!

Along with my electronic nite of listening, I suddenly got in the mood for some REM.

a little bit of UP (Lotus is great), Monster (bang and drum), and a fair amount of New Adventures in HiFi all dvda/cd.
Christ, is New Adventures..ever dark and moody music, and I luv it.

Tonight, I think I'll switch it up a bit.

With some classic Punk via The Clash, in DD5.1
