Is that All Night Wrong a new acquisition for you Kap; it generally goes for a Ben Franklin, if you can even find one?
hell, no! I got this 10+ years ago when I was building my basic MCH collection..
...aamof, since I am a bit anal, I just found the email and it was bought Aug 7 2009 (the day after his birthday...back when he was still alive!) and it was 2,600 Yen at hmv.co.jp

Lenny Bernstein's one regret in life is that he didn't want to be exclusively associated with WEST SIDE STORY but rather his compositional and conducting prowness. Dutton Vocalion's 2021 QUAD SACD release of Igor Stravinsky's LE SACRE DU PRINTEMPS, SYMPHONY OF PSALMS and Francis Poulenc's GLORIA are certainly testaments to Bernstein's brilliance as a conductor and interpreter of 20th Century Composers. Though not as discrete as the Boulez SACDs, the Columbia Masterworks engineers have managed to capture every nuance of London's Symphony Orchestra and the English Bach Festival Chorus in sterling sonics. And might I add, Michael Dutton, working from the original analogue multi~tracks has managed to seamlessly integrate Gloria and the Symphony of Psalms, originally released in Stereo, into a convincing 4 corner soundstage.

Leonard Bernstein I'm Leonard Bernstein and I approve this 'message!'

those crazy album covers....

Mott the Hoople,The Hoople. Really love this in quad.Don't care for the stereo albums but had to buy it just for this one,and it's worth it.:51QQWould have liked it better if they had released the quad as a single SACD.

Dude, you absolutely crack me up. I say shit like that all the time. Most often, I say it to myself. "OK, I'm not fucking around any longer" As I crank up Sabbath. hahaha

I'd love to spin both soon. I'll do The Wall in Atmos though!
Woke up this morning thinking about The Wall in Atmos for some reason -you know maybe helicopter in the upper speakers, and no I don't have Atmos yet, but still, that would work well with this release I believe.
Is there a US version of this that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (didn't realize it was OOP or so pricey?)

MAHLER'S SYMPHONY #2 [RESURRECTION] WAS BY HIS OWN ADMISSION HIS FAVORITE SYMPHONY AND IN THE CAPABLE HANDS OF LEOPOLD STOKOWSKI, WHO HAD AGE 92, RECORDED THIS BEHEMOTH FOR RCA IN LONDON'S WALTHAMSTOW TOWN HALL, DUTTON EPOCH HAS 'RESURRECTED' THOSE PRISTINE ORIGINAL ANALOGUE MASTERS AND RELEASED A STUNNING QUAD SACD PRESERVING THE MAJESTY OF THAT EARLY 70'S RECORDING. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Excellent choice!! Now that I have rerun Audyssey after mounting my height speakers.....I need to try this out again.
To be honest I just marked it down in the poll from 10 to 9, after listening to some of the more recent releases it's not quite as good, when it came out it was the pinnacle, but now it's more like the nursery slopes. well maybe not as bad as that:LOL:
