Charles Ives was a modernist American composer born in Danbury, CT and served as a U.S. Army bandleader during the Civil War. While his compositions were under performed during his lifetime, they are now a growing part of the classical repertoire. Included in this gorgeous QUAD two~fer are two rousing examples of his 'patriotic' commitment to Americana and come highly recommended! [TT: 81'29"]

Atmos played in 5.1
Great sound quality clear discrete elements but the songs are not moving me.
Not as enjoyable as the last two surround reissues.

Hows the 5.1 on bluray compare to the Atmos mix???

Mine was waiting for me last night when I got back from Barcelona, along with the Blu-ray version, and my name is in there too, so is my brothers. (My TFF as well!). Too wiped out to listen today, got home at 10 last night after a 3 hour drive, as had a nice wee wait & queue in passport control after the Terminal 3 automated system failed

Listened to it critically into the wee hours and the 5.1 mix will NOT disappoint! Ample use of the rears For $18, includes lovely visuals on all 5.1 tracks and a nice glossy booklet. Also includes a documentary and almost 55 minutes of INSTRUMENTALS in 5.1
