Is the UMe HFPA series officially dead? They did release Simple Minds' Once Upon a Time just three months ago. I know it was only one title, but it was better than nothing. Of course, just one title is also pretty unforgivable when there are four classic Elton John titles (and who knows what else) waiting in the vaults.

I also think Universal Japan's SHM~SACD program is moribund. Except for a few classical SHM~SACDs NO new POP/Rock/Jazz titles are in the pipeline. Naxos has also suspended their BD~A Classical Releases, as well. If we're lucky, we may see a few more sporadic releases on these formats in 2016 but nothing of substance in terms of quantity.....at least from the majors.

Man you guys....

So, I've had Dylan's Blonde On Blonde ever since it was released on SACD Multi-Channel. I will admit that when I bought it...I was still not really into Dylan. But...but...
Wow, it really sounds excellent and the surround mix is way better than I remember. My copy is literally in brand new condition...since I never really played it.

Listening now, and I'm liking what I hear. Plus, I suppose the cost of this has risen since...and I know I didn't pay that much for mine back in the day....

I am patiently waiting for the reissue of CARPENTERS on BD-A, it is one of the most expensive SACDs on the market now. I believe there is a download available, but fingers crossed for a BD to show up one day!:D

I have this one and it's excellent...I didn't realize the price has shot up that much...some people think the SHM-CD sounds just as good...I don't know...here it is

Make that two requests for a reissue of the "Carpenters Singles 1969-1981" album to be reissued as a Blu-Ray audio disc! (With the surround mixes included, of course) :)

Me three!!

Now listening to David Sanborn, Timeagain - very nice smooth jazz - my favourite track must be Tequila - not for the liquore, but for the awesome bass - now there is one heavy bass that goes really deep. Turn it up and things on the walls start to rattle :)

Just got this one from my record store, first listen.

The mix is great and I what I've heard so far the music too, have to listen to it a few more times to get into it I think.

Oh, I like it a lot - very accessible, it's my first listen to Steven Wilsons solo stuff. The Lazarus track was beautiful.

I have purchased 3 of his other albums too.

America - Hearts (SACD)

After reading the lukewarm reviews on the poll, I had low expectations on this one but...

It sounds great!

I'm feeling the same way Lute...I listened to part of it yesterday and liked what I heard...the funny part is people complain if the songs are "too well known" and they have heard them too many times..OR they complain if they never heard the songs and aren't comfortable with the content...

This one is great - the surround mix really suits the music. It gives a very big soundstage, you should place yourself in the perfect sweetspot of your speakers.

Remember seeing him in concert in the late 80's - he was very energetic - great concert.

Saw him a little over a year ago as he toured for the anniversary of Reckless. No one opened for him, and he never left the stage all night. When the band took a break, he went into his acoustic set. He still has it, one of the best concerts I've ever been to :)
