Rick Wakeman & the English Rock Ensemble THE RED PLANET [Madfish Records/1 RBCD/1 DVD~V DD 5.1] Most unfortunately, Wakeman's surround catalogue has been plagued with lost masters and 'needledrops' [both SQ/CD~4] from Vinyl...with varying degrees of success! The material on this album is quite good but why an UPMIX? The sound even in DD 5.1 is actually quite good. I understand there is an alternate set which sports DTS 5.1 and hi res 96/24 stereo. This has been the only 3D video that my wife has enjoyed till the end.
They are really Demo material.

It's a pitty that my projector is not 3D (in Atmos room) and we have to see 3D video in the other room TV Panasonic (only stereo). Just because of these titles I think my next Projector will be 3D
The 3D effect on an LG OLED 3D monitor is nothing short of BREATHTAKING ...among the BEST 3D I have ever experienced! You'd swear you're watching a native UHD4K disc [but the 4K consortium unfortunately eliminated 3D .... ??????]

I do have a SONY VPL~VW99ES Laser 3D projector ...awaiting installation....and will report back once the install is completed.

Bob Ravenscroft THREE ALONE [Ravenswave Recordings/2 Multi~CH SACDs 5.0] Jazz for a Sunday afternoon with Bob and his trio performing 6 compositions, three by Bob and three by Wayne Shorter, Bill Evans and David Friesen and a second disc of Ravenscroft performing impressionistic piano solos. The recording is pure audiophile and highly recommended
