VIII on the other hand is a bit lame imo. There's one good tune, Old Days, but the rest doesn't sound like it's up to the band's usual standards.

Now currently revisiting my favorite Chicago Quadraphonic mix, "Chicago VII"!
Ole Bull:
Sæterjentens Søndag, Concerto in A major, Concerto Fantastico, I ensomme stunde, La Verbena de San Juan, Et Sæterbesøg
Annar Follesø (violin)
Norwegian Radio Orchestra
Ole Kristian Ruud (conductor)
(2L - SACD/BD-A)
I can't get over the sound and surround mix of Caravan-In The Land Of Grey And Pink.
Hoping some day, S.W. gets ahold of some more Caravan.View attachment 26983View attachment 26984
It's too bad people tend to dismiss it cause it's only DD 5.1.Great music and surround mix.imho
Probably my very fave "Silverline " DVDA
PERE UBU-THE MODERN DANCE
excellent surround, highly recommend.
I agree that VIII is probably the weakest Chicago album in the entire Quadio set, but there's more on that record that's good than just "Old Days".
Both "Brand New Love Affair" and "Never Been In Love Before" are among Chicago's best songs from this period.
.... in your opinion, that is...
Toy Matinee - S/T - DTS CD 5.1
Hmmm, there's a DTS CD and DVD-Audio of this piggy? Seems the Amazon listing I ordered from was for the DVD-Audio, but I got sent the DTS CD. Should I complain? Technically they sent the wrong product, right? What would YOU do (WWYD)???
If you want your money back you should complain. Be aware though that you run the risk of having to return what they sent you. I've never heard the DTS CD but I have the dvda and it is stellar.
