-but Please Don't Touch is growing on me.

The AF quad disc of Billy Cobhams Spectrum, sent me on a awesome journey. I investigated the musicians on the disc and came across Tommy Bolin, I am not sure how I missed him back in the day, maybe thought he was Marc Bolin, and the song Teaser kind of sounds like a T Rex tune. So through research I came across some stereo RBCD's that are the greatest music I have heard in the while. I purchased Tommy Bolin's The Definitive Teaser Collectors Edition, and was blown away, the outtakes Teaser and 2 outtakes) are phenomenal. Included is a star studded 2 disc tribute, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, etc.. Then I added the RBCD stereo disc Alphonse Mouzon Mind Transplant, lets just say, fantastic. I am so happy to have found Tommy Bolin and his body of work. His last concert before he overdosed was the opener for Jeff Beck in 1975.

Back to what I am really doing, started with Rush's awesome Blu Ray 2112, then Yes's, Blu Ray Closer To The Edge and now stereo Flac 24/96 of the best live album ever, The Who's Live At Leeds. Just listen to Pete Townsend playing the most virtuoso guitar imaginable and knowing while he is playing he is doing acrobatics. !!

There is a photo of Tommy and Jeff that same night (his last photo)...it was at the Jai Alai in Miami...

Here is the link to the page.

Tommy will always be missed...he picked each and everyone of the notes...no hammer-on or pull-offs...

I'm back from my morning run and I'm thoroughly enjoying the endorphin rush. I'm still on my Pete Namlook craze so this one is perfect right now.

Confession time

I admit that I was too quick to put aside the 5.1 mix of The Dark Side of The Moon in favour of the Quad mix. I actually like both. I'm playing the SACD right now and I had honestly forgotten how much I enjoy that mix. Like many of us here, I have multiple version of this legendary album. The original Stereo, the early Alan Parsons mix, the live from the Immersion set, the 5.1 and the Quad. I thoroughly enjoy every single one of these.

There, I said it. :)

Dark Side is still a great album. And the progress Floyd made in those few years from Piper to Dark Side is amazing. Especially when you consider that the Syd era stopped during 1968 and in 1971 most of Dark Side was already mapped out.

I have to admit, that I never liked DSOTM as much as other PF albums like the ones they did before and after until The Wall.
I wish they would release Animals! :)

Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn (DVD-V)

Al-salāmu ʿalaykum. :sun Yes, groovy instrument and a groovy album.

I actually like the instrument itself, but I was making a silly Doctor Who joke. There's a creature on that show called the Ood. ;)

Back to music now.

I've received this a few days ago and it will be in my list of favourites for ever. John Luther Adams is a modern composer and this album is essentially one long piece. There no other way to describe it because the title fits it like a glove. It simply makes you feel what it is to be under water. It grabs me on an emotional level. I love it. It must be a feat of endurance for the players of the orchestra.

It is Dolby Digital on a DVD-V, but I'm still very happy with it.

You may visit his Bandcamp page to purchase.

Back to the spacey sounds of Move D and Pete Namlook with these two titles that I love playing back to back. They contain slowed down dialogue from a bunch of old Sci-Fi films and much of it is taken from episodes of Gerry Anderson's classic TV Series Space 1999 and U.F.O.

Move D · Namlook XX: Taygete (DTS CD)

Move D · Namlook XIX: Dawning Of A New Decade (DTS CD)
