And...I have been off on a misty mountain hop in the Sounds & Clouds courtesy of Jared Sacks. Fantastic album! Of course the Vivaldi is good, but it's the atmospheric performances of Hosokowa's music that I find so intoxicatingly irresistible.

Actually, I've been wondering what the h*** we're going to do when Channel stops producing SACDs.

And ooooh what a vast & deep mine it is!!! Jared will be kept busy mining for years and years That's one of the beauties of classical music, Ralphie. I know Brian the Maven will say get with the program and start doing Quad DSD. Well, this headbanger is just hoping Channel keeps releasing SOME of their heavenly recordings on SACD.

Nothing uber discrete à la Tacet, but the soundstage has a wonderful depth...creating an immersive ambience which perfectly suits the music and venue.

Yes, it truly is a wonderful release from 2L. The discrete surround mix is among the best available. And these violin works by this Paganini of the North are a real pleasure to listen to.

EJ's a great place to start collecting. I began this journey into surround media about 4 months ago, and found his SACD's relatively easy to find, well executed, and inexpensive. I have all of Elton's, and around 35 other various and sundry titles. Hard to stop, but the wallet says I must take a break...
