Queen - A Night At The Opera (DVD-Audio)
Specifically, I'm In Love With My Car. What a dirty little song.....sung by their multi-talented drummer, Roger Meddows Taylor. Wonderful...and oh can that man pound those skins...

Yup..one of my favorite songs..love the drumming...I used to play with a great drummer about 10 years ago and he said he thought Roger's drumming sucked...needless to say , this drummer went down on my book after that, even after I tried to "steer" him in the right direction (you gotta listen to this LPs, etc....and on top of that HE SINGS LIVE!!).... Roger does have a very high pitched speaking voice and that is why he can sing UP THERE!!!..

It's a pity , but I read somewhere in this Forum that he's an assh*le in person...

Well, sure. I guess he could be an arse. Oh well. I have a live DVD of Queen, can't recall the name. From that point forward, I realized he was top shelf drummer. I mean, outstanding. Love to watch him.

Peter Gabriel-Up SACD

So, I totally forgot I had this disc.
Genesis - Nursery Cryme

The set I have has not only a DVD-A (or is it DVD-V) and a SACD. Both Multi-channel of course. Wow! I had no idea it had both formats on 2 different discs...how weird...or maybe cool is that?

Now. The DVD is 48/24 DTS, while the SACD is of course DSD lossless.
I cannot tell 1 ounce of difference between the 2 discs. I've ripped both and asked my wife to play 1 or the other...then play the other. I couldn't tell any difference...whatsoever.

So - what gives? Everyone wants to think that lossless is way superior to DTS 48/24...I dunno. AT least on this disc, my ears cannot hear any difference..not one bit. :)

Anyway. Still, I get it. If someone is going to offer a new release...just give us lossless 96/24. I get it, really I do. But in this case, I cannot tell any difference.

It's DVD-V only

To be fair, you are doing an extra conversion to pcm on the sacd rips, but you are right, dts gets a bad rap from many. ...also, dts cd 16/44 doesn't sound nearly as good as dts dvd quality, 24/48 and 24/96. The mix is always more important than any format, something that took me a long time to figure out.

Even with all that said, my favorite format is bluray with 24/192 DTS MA, like the Chicago Quadio set...

Venus and mars by Wings thanks to Simon. Really enjoying it first time through.

ooooo

I have a Q8 (that I bought!!!..one of the 2 Q8s in my collection) conversion done by a QQ member that is really good!!!(it's a KICKASS conversion!!!)
It was my first Wings LP (I was 11 at that time and I was just starting to get into The Beatles) , so it holds a special place in my heart....

Yes, it's compressed ..but ...WHO CARES??? It's a GREAT ALBUM...Rock Show, Spirits of Ancient Egypt, Medicine Jar....so many to enjoy!!!
