I prefer Free Hand, I'd like to see a multichannel of In a Glass House, anyone else?

Snowmageddon here in New England today so I've allowed myself some time in my sweet spot.....more time then I've spent there in the last month. :yikes

On the menu today, some Steven Wilson goodness with Skylarking and Songs From the Big Chair. Two brilliant LPs given new life by the master. And relating to another thread, I finally took the shrink-wrap off of three titles that had been gathering dust for ages. Gave my first listens to Child is Father to the Man and Blood Sweat & Tears. Who knew stuff recorded in '67/'68 could be so beautifully discrete? Digging the mixes on both although it may take me awhile to warm up to the music. Liked some of it, some of it left me lukewarm. Also finally gave a first listen to Southern Surroundings. My band has been learning "You Got That Right" so it was nice to have an ES mix to be able to dissect the individual parts more easily. Wish I had more days like this to just chill and listen......

Frank Zappa & The Mothers - Roxy: The Movie

It's a real shame that the surround audio is only 448/kbps 5.1 AC-3. :( It still sounds great though. :upthumb

This is 'My Hero'

Yesterday I was watching Fox News Channel, and one of the reporters was giving an update on the snow storm in Washington D.C. All of a sudden he said, "It reminds me of the Frank Zappa lyrics 'Watch Out Where The Huskies Go, Don't You Eat That Yellow Snow'". I NEARLY FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR!!! LOL.

Wow! I just noticed something for the first time, while listening to this Quad album. At the 8:01 mark of "Blues, Pt 2" - they do a complete ripoff of Cream. I love it. I certainly never caught that before. Which likely means, I never had the stamina to listen to this whole song as it's nearly 12 minutes long.

And now on to what I love the most - THE DOORS! Absolutely one of my top 5 favorite bands. Always have been - even back in the late 70's when my buddies thought they sucked. :yikes

How lucky are we to have these SACD from The Doors?
