Good for you! ...lots of sub rattling bass I hope!?

This is exquisite music that's beautifully performed and recorded. It's one of the most impressive chamber music recordings for string quartet & wind instrument I've heard in a long time. This is not some kind of novelty recording. The droning sound of the Didjeridu blends naturally with the sounds of the string quartet. It's an amazing instrument. And Peter Sculthorpe's music shows the characteristics of each instrument to glorious effect. The Aboriginal people and all of Australia can be proud of this music.

At the moment, "Red Barchetta" from the Moving Pictures BD, preceded by the first two tracks of the Farewell to Kings DVDA, the overture and last four tracks of the 2112 BD, and the second and third tracks of the Fly By Night DVDA. I'm having a Rush mix up tonight.

If you dig Miles collaborations with Gil Evans, YOU NEED SKETCHES OF SPAIN IN 5.1! The music and 5.1 upmix are fantastic. Too bad it's only DD/DTS.

Well... if that's the case, I can't guarantee that you'll fall head over heels in love with this one. But, at least you'll be impressed with the quality of the recording. Surrounds are active and the instruments are vivid and have a nice warmth. Boy oh boy...you're gonna have a Didjeridu right in your room. I bet you can't wait! @:

It just seems like a tuneless dirge..! A dirge-er-ee-doo..!

I've not got the houseroom for a real didjeridu so this will make for a neat in room substitute! Next up a quartet of wobble boards in glorious 5.1..! Just so long as they don't do a surround disc of Rolf's Stylophone, or that's one disc I will actively eschew..!!

Hands down, my favorite song is Los Angelenos. I think this is as good as it gets...powerful, big QUAD...so good. I can throw the coals to this tune on my Denon...

I really enjoyed it...these recent purchases(CD's too) brings me back to another time in my life when I listened to Luther a LOT...he just has a great voice..so smooth and polished...that's the great thing about music...it can take you back in time...sometimes its good and sometimes it brings back memories you have tried to repress...that's what makes this hobby so interesting..

I really think if you give it a good chance....you will LOVE it. I really do. It's a classic..typical poet style music.
