Too much is not enough, always go back to the quality you know, Steely Dan two against nature DVD-A 5.1 MLP 96k 24b: I could have gotten more done today. Following up with everything must go, why not? I'm always tempted to skip blues beach but never do.

Listening now to Bruce & E Street, Live in New York, SACD, MCH. Not the best in surround, but not the worst, the live music is fantastic. The surround whatever it is really opens the music up so much more than the CD stereo.

Markie, I cranked that puppy at volume 76 and never looked back. An overlooked gem. Wish SONY and Bruce would remix ALL his studio albums in surround. After all, WHO'S THE BOSS?

That track would definitely leave me cold in stereo, but in 5.1 it's actually a lot of fun. I love how Carolyn Leonhart's voice keeps jumping between the rear channels at the end.

The title track is definitely the standout of Everything Must Go IMHO.

Same here and thanks for your vocal precision.

Changed my mind and reserved Help! to watch it with my son. I'm really proud of him as he now starts to pick up CDs from the shelves and listen to them. It's funny when he asks me to play some Beatles and her mum Coldplay.
So now playing Crisis. Forgetting about the differences with the originals, I love Oldfield's mixes.
I know he's recording TB4, but does anyone know what happened with the reissue campaign? I thought Amarok was remixed and ready to go.

Keb’ Mo “Just Like You”. Man o’ man where has this been all my life!

This is one of the best mch albums I’ve heard yet. The sound quality is off the charts. Wide dynamics, natural vocals, and kick-ass instrumentals. The mix fits the music like a glove, with tasteful use of surrounds. Highly recommended if you can find it at reasonable cost. They show up on eBay occasionally.

This is an album I missed out on getting. It became hard to get quite quickly, but I eventually found a company/shop in the UK that said they had it, sent the money, got nothing, emailed no reply, ever. :poop:

I was tidying out a cupboard (well once a century is enough!) to make space for my spare laser printer cartridges and came across the PayPal receipt for my Keb' Mo' order back in April 2008! It was with DVD4Music :poop: which luckily don't seem to be trading anymore, but after a net search I did find lots of complaints about them, basically all posts from 2009 until 2011 said dirty f***ing scammers. Yep they probably got rich and my £21.49 must have helped

Picked beans this morning....then pulled up all the plants. We -my back- don't need no more stinkin' beans!
I picked a bad time to quit ______________ (fill in your favorite Airplane quote from Lloyd Bridges!)

Mike Oldfield - Crisis [DVD]
Mike Oldfield - Hergest Ridge [DVD] My first listen. I got pretty caught up in it. EDIT: NOT my first listen, just first in a while, I guess?

Gus Black. Uncivilized Love. Immergent dualdisc with dvd audio stream. Reccomended just one listen and I have liked every song. Vocals locked in center channel discrete elements. Kind of a somber countryish rock blend. He has a nice singing voice. Have not yet looked at the 9 videos or other extras.
Read about it here so thanks to the poster who reccomende it!

Ok I'm going to pull a Gos and reply to myself. I have let this roll thru 3 videos. One is an album instrumental with the happy laughing of his little boy who you can now see. Just tugs at your heart. Then there are some live acoustic performances a song off his first album all in dolby digital 5.1. This really appeals to me. Since I just got the news this morning that a friend I have known since I was age 15 died in his sleep last nite (he was stricken with a degenerative disease) the tone of this music is speaking to me...

An excellent disc, Linda sounds great!

It's been too long since I had proper listening time, but got to a few off the pile today. First:

Analogue Productions 2/3 Channel SACD - listened in 3 channel. I've been skeptical of the AP re-releases, since i don't think there's much room for improvement on the RCA issues. But RCA never got to this one...

Anyhow, it's an astounding performance. The perfection of execution and musicality of the CSO in this era sets an impossible standard for everyone else. And it sounds really good. But...the 3-channel mix here, taken directly from the 3-track tape, is a reminder that these 3-track masters weren't really designed to be heard in L-C-R format. The chorus in critical parts is anchored in the right speaker when it obviously needs to be spread around (and I'm pretty sure it is in the stereo mix). Still highly recommended.
