Styx - The Mission on blu ray in 5.1. First few listens today, I really like the music and the mix works well with my system. My side surrounds are towers and are positioned just forward of being parallel to me, this really seems to suit this mix imo. Was always a big Lawrence Gowan fan from back in his solo days, like his vocals on The Greater Good. Very rare that I like new music this much, this one’s a winner for me.

Mine too along with Grace for Drowning. Only wish it too was on Blu ray rather than DVDA

Lots of fun in an afternoon working from home. I started by Knopfler's Shangri-la (got the SACD yesterday for 15€, new), then REM's Automatic for the People (best Atmos mix so far), Chris Squire's Fish Out of Water (first time I enjoy the mix) and now Insurgentes is blasting out. I'm upmixing to Neural and liking a lot so far what is my fav Wilson solo record

Another fun day of my insane plan to rapid track my wean off Lyrica with no pill pusher's help. Don't ever take it unless you feel it's your last resort, IMO.

Back to JT's Heavy Horses DTS 96/24 SW mix: Didn't take long for this to grow on me, plus it sounds so good. Nice use of the surrounds, great low end and crisp. Enjoying the "Associated Recordings" on DVD 1, also (some) (most) in surround. Horse-Hoeing Husbandry

Gentle Giant Three Piece Suite Blu-ray: This is a new arrival and my second listen, this time I'm properly placed. My first impression was that though I really liked the music, it sounded oddly bloated when listening to the DTS-HD MA 5.1. Same this time and switching to the 96/24 5.1 LPCM is a significant improvement for some reason. Strange because DTS-HD has worked well for me so far with other discs. Yes, I'm glad to have it but The Power and the Glory is a sound quality benchmark for me GGwise.

Attended the Kraftwerk in 3d concert a week ago in Sweden(fantastic show),so had to play some minimum/maximum on SACD.Sounds real good.

Listening now to Bruce & E Street, Live in New York, SACD, MCH. Not the best in surround, but not the worst, the live music is fantastic. The surround whatever it is really opens the music up so much more than the CD stereo.
