The Mission with rears lowered 3dB is really sounding perfect to my ears... thanks weekendtoy! Need to try listening to this tweek at higher volume later (it's not even 7am yet)

This is one of the reasons why I wanted three amps to drive my 5.0 set-up. That way, if I want to raise of lower anything, it's a cinch. ;)

Same masters (perhaps, first gen) but mixed differently.

I’m pretty sure this topic on the differences between the two has been covered in another Thread.

Re : Best Of Doors
That's interesting . I didn't know there were 2 different mixes . Good to know , as I have the AF SACD , and the Rhino blu -ray . (Oh and also the CD-4 disc ).
I'll have to give my ears a treat .

LIstening to right now:
Marillion Misplaced Childhood [BD]

I confess it took me several listens to fully appreciate this album. At first the vocals were distracting, now I find them complementing. I really like the guitar work!
As I think I said before, a video on the BD sort of drew me in, and since then I guess I pretty much enjoy more with every listen of the BD.

Tomita-Snowflakes are dancing SACD on the first full day of Surround for me after more than 7 months!!!

Don Ellis- Tears Of Joy (SQ LP)

Found this at a record store today and it's a lot of fun! Quirky jazz recording, suprisingly good separation.

Quad mix is by Phil Macy, who I believe also did the awesome Chase self-titled LP. It's also another Columbia mix that's SQ only with no discrete version out there.
