Yes. Turn it up loud and Money For Nothing will scare the holy crap out of you in the beginning when the drums roll in.

I suggested you seek out the DualDisc but SACD will be okay too.

Played it last night LOUD. The whole album is superb. The reason I do prefer the MLP DVD~A 5.1 [dualdisc] is it WAS recorded DDD [PCM] and there was NO DSD conversion involved [as was the case with the SACD].

PCM ALL THE WAY, BABY!:QQlove

New opportunity, Mr. eric johnson, Ah Via Musicom 5.1 MLP 96k 24b DVD-A. At least I closed the windows, how hot is it where you are?
Up to 44 Celsius this week in Madrid. Around 30s during sleep time. Did I ever say I hate this city?
Playing now On an Island to cool me down, lovely record this is

Big Big Train Stone & Steel Blu-ray (songs only, sound only)

Duran Duran - Astronaut [SACD]
Mhmm, just what I needed for the second half of the summer!
This is gonna be an 8 easily, selected songs are almost perfect.

A great mix indeed! I have the Dualdisc version (Dolby only). "Reach Up For The Sunrise" and "What Happens Tomorrow" rank among their best songs IMO. Would love to upgrade to the SACD someday, but it seems they are quite rare and expensive lately.

Some of their older material, such as Rio or Seven and the Ragged Tiger, might've been really cool in surround.

Styx - The Mission (BD-A)
Almost absolutely happy with the release.
Three spins in, played the audio-only portion of the disc without the monitor so far and compared it back to back with BD-As by XTC (Black Sea) and Coldplay.
While not a SW kind of perfection, it worked for me much better than the compressed, standard type of mix of A Head Full Of Dreams.

Alan Parson's Project - Eye In The Sky [BD]
Grateful Dead - Workingman's Dead [DVDA]
BOC - Agents Of Fortune [SACD]
(listening now) Dire Straits - Alchemy Live [BD]

Once again, from the movie Airplane, and Lloyd Bridges, -I picked a bad week to give up ________________ -. Yep, been a lil rough this week but we survive and music lets us thrive!

Yikes, César, 111 degrees! Perhaps it's time to move to that 'Island' so lovingly, musically portrayed by Señor Gilmour!

Listening to Sgt Peppers, 5.1, loved it last year a 10, love it this year, it's perfect. When is the 5.1 White Album going to be released?

When Giles Martin can behold the whites of your eyes, Markie!o_O

Glad you're enjoying Pepper. It remains a tepid remix to my ears.......guess I'm just fussy....spoiled by those rad 70's QUADs!

APP EITS BD.. really REALLY awesome...it's in Dolby stereo BUT I NEVER HEAR IT RIGHT!!!!!. (HINT ANYONE??)

BTW, I am of the LOVE SPLHCB BD mix!!!..yes , there is a POINT where you should "Draw The Line "(BTW a GREAT fantasy MCH mix too) but , YES PUT ASIDE YOUR "LOVE" MCH expectations and YOU WILL enjoy it..

Don't know if the SACD would actually be an UPGRADE... I think the DD is basically the same.. or even more honest.. the SACD sounds .. truncated...????
