Thanks kap'n for turning me on to this one; picked it up and enjoying it; been looking for a Blu-Ray of an unplugged concert of hers, but prices are prohibitive. I'm currently enjoying this one I found recently (Very decent sound for a live show; she has a large band with her on this.) Always loved me some Lila Downs.

I found Julieta's Unplugged on DVD for peanuts!

Another one arrived today.

A Silverline release

Shining Brother Shining Sister.

By Jackie Leven

More going on here than the normal Silverline release...I like this.:)

One of my VERY favorite MLP DVD~A 5.1 Silverline releases. On my system, it sounds TRANSCENDENT. A gorgeous album which I exhort anyone who likes things a little [LOT] different to consider adding to their collections.

A DTS disc being spun now.

Midnight Oil Capricornia

Strange how some DTS discs have more going on than more expensive recent releases...:unsure:

I don't think I have a single DTS CD that I don't like for it's surround mix . They're all very good I think , including the live ones.
I wonder if it was some sort of prerequisite by The DTS camp that you had to have a Full Suround presentation , or else ?

I most definitely think some of the more popular artists now releasing in surround should consider the DTS CD as a cheaper and historically successful mode of presenting their art .

The DVD may be the way to go on this one. Not sure if the Blu-Ray is even legit, as I can't find it in discogs or any other info except for sale on ebay for outrageous $$$. Also I see the DVD is 5.1 :SG. Would love to hear thoughts on this one if you pick it up kap'n and of course others that care to partake. This one may need to go into my Bucket List (a slight whimper - can't ya see it in my eyes); as I've spent tons of mula the last two months on Beatles, Hendrix, Tull :smokin

Chillin’ out with this one on a cool rainy day in California; Dominic Miller plays along with her on a few tracks. Mostly solo classical guitar with 3 channel front sound and ambient room sound in the rear. This has a very clean and southing sound for an old dog’s bones.

Be careful if purchasing this, as there is also a “stereo only” version in SACD!

I first became aware of Kaori’s music from this video of her performing: Saudade No 3, 1-3 from the album “Lumieres.” Her playing style really entranced me.
