Clapton. Let it Grow on Blu Ray, as he was recovering from heroin on South Beach. It is now kinda a perfect surround song. It's on the 74-75 Recordings album, a reboot of 561 Ocean Boulevard. Total pain in the ass to grab this if you have the previous albums in other offshoots, but, worth it for the two albums. Motherless Children has an easier time being heard.

I'm 59 and have a date tonight. Geez, I'm too old for this! Anyway, I was told not to show her my rig on the first date...good advice? ;)

Hat's off to you, man - I gave up on that stuff a long time ago. :violin

You have a beautiful place, and your rig is not scary at all. Nicely done, in fact.

And your sound system looks good too! < rim shot! >

-- Jim (have fun tonight!)

Ha! Thanks Jim...that's why I come here now, for all the great advice :) Cheers everyone, enjoy your Saturday evening if you're in the Americas, and I'll say goodnight to the folks across the pond :brew

My wife gets really irritated with my rig... the parts are all mismatched, she hates the way it looks, and she gets annoyed with the way it's always sticking out when she comes into the room; but she's learned to live with it and she does get some enjoyment from it on occasion.

Is it just me who finds Avalon, by Roxy Music, pretty dull? I'd rather hear their first couple of records in surround!

I absolutely love "Avalon" and find it far from dull. Tracks like "More Than This", "The Main Thing", "Take a Chance With Me", "True to Life", and (of course) the title track are among their absolute best songs from the latter period IMO.
Like you though, I'm very anxious to hear as much of the rest of their catalogue in surround as they are willing to give us, and I hope Steven Wilson will also remix the rest of the first five albums after the first one is released, hopefully early next year!
