Probably the $100.00 set. As you say, the door hanger seals the deal!Which one are you interested in?
I don't see any mention of surround. The DVD version I currently own from MGM is pretty much mono, not much difference in the L & R channels and there is no mention of stereo on the box.???? Is that Zappa 200 motels in .......surround ???? Always wondered.

However, last night I got inspired by the thought of hearing "Lonesome Cowboy Burt" in 5.1 while watching the video and created a somewhat 5.1 audio track using specweb. I extracted the video and audio (which is ac3) using MKVExtract, converted the ac3 to flac using Audacity, put it through Specweb 1.31. and combined the mch flac with the video using MKVToolnix. I watched it today and was amazed that the new audio and video synced up perfectly.
Really not much of a 5.1 experience, but WTF, I just had to see if it could be done. This is what happens when you're retired and have too much time on you're hands. I'm hoping the copy in the box set has a real stereo mix so I can try it again. Wanna watch a dental hygiene movie?
Gave a big quad listen to some ABC Command albums last nite,
Joe Walsh and Steely Dan , mainly.
(Fun with pics)
Listening/watching now in surround, Cowboys/Seahawks. I hate to say Go Cowboys, but the Seahawks are in the 49ers division, so of course I can't want the Seahawks to win.
That's it for today, good night, over and out.
Have it, will spin it again tomorrow. Thanks.Listening now to Marillion-Brave 5.1 Steven Wilson remix. 24/96Khz LPCM 5.1 Pure Direct mode at 60.db. Sounds fantastic. Great band, highly inventive.
