Phenomenal DVD-A. The piano in "China Grove" that's so loud and clear in the rears is potted way down on all other versions.

I'm looking forward to renewed discussion of this album when the Doobies Quadio set comes out. The quad mix is also excellent.

5.1 LPCM Blu-ray & yes the rears have to be turned up, I like the songs a lot there's even a car song (Viper) and the on screen is good too.

Yes this seems to be happening a lot, I wonder how many people they give it to to test listen, maybe those people are too timid to say if anythings wrong, they should give them to us to to test! I think they are scared it'll get leaked before release day.

I wonder if enough comments were made to the record label, whether they would consider 're doing the 5.1 disc?

Or they decide not to bother doing a 5.1 mix next time... I always worry that complaints can go either way. How would you rate the mix with the rears cranked?

I wonder the same thing about Hemispheres, though I can attest in that case, at least to my ears, that a simply channel level adjustment won't do the trick.
